Previewing the NBA Playoffs: East Part 1
The NBA Playoffs are here and we have the insider’s look directly from the best sportsbooks experts to check for the upcoming games. While the West might be the most heralded series of this portion of the season, we are now focusing our attention to the East. The matchups happening of this conference are close and with a real possibility of having more than one upsets from happening. The West might have the top teams, but the East will probably have the most thrilling basketball encounters. If close games and long series are your thing, this is going to be fun for you.
Cavaliers vs Pistons
If anybody has a chip on their shoulder coming into the NBA playoffs is LeBron James, he will come into this series looking to make a statement clearly and early on. The Cavaliers are heavy favorites at every sportsbook online and the real question of the series are if Cleveland can sweep the series. Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love are expected to put up big numbers, to help King James carry this team to the next round. The Cavaliers know that they are the East’s best hope of preventing either the Warriors or Spurs from winning the NBA Championship.
The Detroit Pistons have gotten the best of the Cavaliers twice in this season, that might provide them with enough boost to think that they might stand a chance of preventing the series to end abruptly in Detroit. Although highly unlikely that they will be able to put on much of a fight, they are going to go out swinging. Many of the pundits for the best sportsbooks and expert betting advise are suggesting that this is going to be a sweep, however we think that Detroit might be able to force a fifth game.
Celtics vs Hawks
After their first encounter of the regular season where the Celtics won by 13 points, the Hawks have beaten the Celtics in the next three games, including a thrashing in Atlanta of 121 – 97. The Hawks were securely placed on the fourth spot on the east ad are the slight favorites of the series. Paul Millsap and Al Horford are the leaders of this Atlanta team and they are expected to produce during this series if the Hawks are hoping to move on.
The Celtics are a good team, they are on their way of becoming great. The have a good young roster that seems to be improving constantly, and their progress through out the season hints that they could be a team to consider for the playoffs to pull a deeper run. Their backcourt is deeper than the Hawk’s and if they get going, they might be able to force Atlanta to go to their limits and turn this series into a seven game epic. This might be a thrilling contest and is not going to have a quick ending. The best sportsbooks consider the Hawks to be the favorites but on this series, the Celtics are going to beat the Hawks in dramatic fashion.
