The Cleveland Cavaliers had an up and down season this past year. Nevertheless, most sportsbooks online players were picking them as favorites in the Eastern Conference. The reason being; LeBron James’ uncanny ability to turn it ‘on’ right as the postseason commences. We saw this near the end of the regular season as the Cavs posted a 5-game winning streak as the season neared its end. However, despite having home field advantage in their first postseason matchup, Cleveland came up short against none other than the Indiana Pacers. Down 1-0, the Cavs will be looking to tie things up this Wednesday night.

Betting Indiana

The Pacers posted a 48-34 record during the regular season to finish 5th in the Eastern Conference’s rankings. Although it wasn’t good enough to beat the Cavs for the No. 4 spot in the conference, it was more than good enough to get the franchise into the postseason. This year’s playoff qualification marks the 3rd straight season Indiana has made the postseason. Last year, the Pacers were dismissed in the First Round by none other than the Cavs 4-0. Now, the Pacers are dead set on extracting their revenge. Victor Oladipo lead the way in scoring for the Pacers, scoring a massive 32 points on the night. Keep an eye out for him in this matchup.

Betting Cleveland

The Cavs got manhandled in Game 1 98-80. Although the game wasn’t that high scoring, an 18-point deficit is not to be taken lightly. After taking a look at Game 1’s box score, it’s easy to see why the Cavs came up short. LeBron James put up 24-points, which is to be expected from the multiple time MVP. However, James was the only starter to break double digit figures on the night. Moreover, Jeff Green finished the night with zero points on the scoreboard, which is completely unacceptable. Larry Nance Jr., and JR. Smith scored 10 and 15 on the night respectively, with both coming off the bench. If the Cavs put forth this type of performance once again in Game 2, they’ll surely come up on the losing end.
