There are still a number of quality free agents after the 2022 NFL Draft available to sign, quarterbacks like Baker Mayfield and Jimmy Garoppolo may get traded, while a Super Bowl MVP in Nick Foles is out there, too. However, now that the NFL Draft is in our rearview mirror, the offseason additions are done… basically.

NFL Buffalo Bills (+700 to win Super Bowl)

As great as quarterback Josh Allen was in the playoffs for Buffalo, it was the inability to stop the opposing quarterback-Patrick Mahomes-that ultimately cost the Bills. That’s why their first-round pick was Florida cornerback Kaiir Elam.

He is a good player, and this was a needed position. Elam will pair nicely with Tre’Davious White in the defensive backfield, as the Bills hope those two eliminate the only weakness the team had last season.

In the second round, Buffalo also added Georgia running back James Cook, younger brother of Vikings’ running back Dalvin Cook. Baylor linebacker Terrel Bernard was drafted in the third round.

According to Super Bowl odds, Buffalo is the current favorite to win the title.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+800 to win Super Bowl)

The Bucs traded out of the first round and ultimately made their first pick at No. 33. The newest member of the team is defensive lineman Logan Hall, a big defensive end that thrived in the Houston Cougars’ 3-4 scheme. He finished 2021 with 13½ tackles for loss and 6½ sacks. The Tampa Bay defensive line gets some much-needed youth.

Later in the second round, the Bucs drafted Michigan offensive lineman Luke Goedeke. In the third round, Tampa Bay drafted Arizona State running back Rachaad White. With Rob Gronkowski still unsigned, the Bucs added a pair of tight ends Washington’s Cade Cotton and Ko Kieft out of the University of Minnesota.

The Bucs, at +375, are favored to win the NFC, as per NFL odds.

Kansas City Chiefs (+900 to win Super Bowl)

With 12 picks overall-including two each in the first, second and third rounds-the Chiefs were one of the more intriguing teams heading into the draft.

They addressed their defensive needs at the outset, using both first-round picks on that side of the ball in Washington corner Trent McDuffie and Purdue edge rusher George Karlaftis.

McDuffie is a fluid and dynamic cover guy who figures to take the spot vacated by Charvarius Ward. Karlaftis, finishing second in the nation in pass-rush win rate, is also expected to be a Week 1 starter, occupying the spot across from Frank Clark.

The Chiefs also drafted receiver Skyy Moore (Western Michigan) in the second round, Cincinnati safety Bryan Cook-also in the second round-and Wisconsin linebacker Leo Chenal in the third.

Green Bay Packers (+1100 to win Super Bowl)

The Packers’ long run of not drafting a wide receiver continues. With their two first-round selections, they chose Georgia linebacker Quay Walker and his running mate on the Bulldogs, defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt.

Walker is a speedy linebacker who should make this defense better, while Wyatt is a mountain of a man (6-foot-3, 315 pounds) giving the Packers defense a versatile and high-ceiling player for the middle of the line.

They finally took the wide receiver that their fans (and quarterback Aaron Rodgers) were after in super-fast Christian Watson out of North Dakota State. He won’t provide many yards after the catch, but he should be a versatile weapon for the offense.

Nevada wide receiver Romeo Doubs was also added in the fourth round.

Los Angeles Rams (+1100 to win Super Bowl)

It was a rather quiet draft for the defending Super Bowl champs, with no pick until the third round. They chose Wisconsin offensive tackle Logan Bruss, an offensive tackle. The second-team All-Big Ten selection started nine games at tackle in 2021 after playing both tackle and guard in 2020.

In the fourth round, the Rams selected South Carolina State cornerback Decobie Durant, Then, in the next (fifth) round, it was Notre Dame running back Kyren Williams.

The trade of A.J. Brown from the Tennessee Titans to the Philadelphia Eagles increased Tennessee’s Super Bowl odds from +2500 to +3000. Conversely, the Eagles dipped from +5000 to as short as +3300 at some sportsbooks.

With the drafting of Pitt quarterback Kenny Pickett, the Steelers fell from +8000 to +6000.

The Jets descended from +15000 to +10000 after a first-round that saw them add U. of Cincinnati cornerback Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner, Ohio State wideout Garrett Wilson and edge rusher Jermaine Johnson II out of Florida State.
