Green Bay Packers

The Packers come into this contest as online NFL betting underdogs, which comes as a surprise when considering how well the Pack fared in their first preseason game. This past Thursday, Green Bay opened the doors on Lambeau Field to welcome the Philadelphia Eagles to kick off their preseason. Aaron Rodgers didn’t play, but you wouldn’t be able to tell from looking at the score.

The reigning NFC North champions came out on top 24-9, but still showed that there is plenty of room for improvement. The Packers had 3 turnovers on the night; 2 lost fumbles and an interception. However, Green Bay’s defense made sure to have their team’s back covered, forcing 4 turnovers of their own.

Green Bay will be looking for another strong performance this upcoming Saturday, specifically looking to improve “tackling and ball security”.

Washington Redskins

The online NFL betting favorite Washington Redskins are looking to bounce back from a touchdown-less performance in their first game of the preseason. Despite suffering a 23-3 loss at the hands of the Baltimore Ravens, top sportsbooks on the web believe that Washington will get the best of the Pack.

Starting quarterback Kirk Cousins played the opening series, which resulted in a measly three-and-out. Cousins came out for the second series as well, only to deliver the same result. Afterwards Colt McCoy took over at quarterback, only to deliver another three-and-out.

It’s clear that Washington is having a bit of a hard time getting their offense going. Which is a bit odd, considering that offense was the only thing the Redskins had going for them last season. Specifically, Washington had too many defensive problems to contend for a spot in the playoffs, and it seems like that defense wasn’t able to deter the Ravens either. Only this time, Washington’s offense failed to keep up with their opponent’s pace. Granted this is the preseason, but it’s something Washington will want to have fixed before opening day.
