Betting LA Rams

The Rams got their second win in a row, a 28-12 victory over Seattle as, per the best online sportsbooks, one-point home faves. Starting QB Jared Goff went 22 of 31 for 293 yards with two TDs and two picks. Tyler Higbee had 116 yards on seven receptions. The Rams are 6th in the league in passing yards per game (276.8).

But with Todd Gurley performing below expectations, the LA team only gains 99.4 rushing yards per game (21st). Gurley had 79 yards and one TD in Week 14 versus the Seahawks. Even with a disappointing Gurley, the Rams’ total offense ranks 8th, with 376.2 yards per game. They outgained the Hawks 455 total yards to 308. The Rams defense ranks within the top 15 in all statistical categories. And it was business as usual against Seattle.

According to the best USA sportsbooks, the Rams are 5-0 ATS in their last five games after accumulating over 150 yards rushing in their previous game. 5-0 ATS in their last five games after a straight up win of more than 14 points. And 4-0 ATS in their last four games in December.

And since we mentioned defense, the Rams sacked Russell Wilson five times. “With 11 sacks in the last two games, the Rams (8-5) have moved up to fourth in the league with 43 sacks this season. They’ve already surpassed their full-season total from last year’s Super Bowl campaign as they head to Dallas on Sunday to play a key matchup for both teams’ playoff hopes,” reports USA Today.

Betting Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys have lost three straight, which has head coach Jason Garrett on owner Jerry Jones’s chopping block. Dallas has also failed to cover two straight, according to the best USA sportsbooks. The Cowboys are coming off a 24-31 loss to the Bears as three-point road favorites. Starting QB Dak Prescott went 27 of 49 for 334 yards with one TD. Michael Gallup had 109 yards on six catches. Running back Ezekiel Elliott had 81 yards and two TDs on 19 carries.

The Cowboys are 4-1 ATS in their last five games after accumulating fewer than 90 yards rushing in their previous game. 7-2 ATS in their last nine games as an underdog. And 2-5 ATS in their last seven games after allowing over 350 total yards in their previous game.

“I believe that it’s unlikely that Jerry will ever bring somebody in [as general manager] that can help this football team in that regard just because he’s been real stubborn and steadfast, in that he’s the one in charge. I think in a lot of ways until that changes, this team’s going to have some problems.

Would he ever ask me to come be a part of it? I think that’d be a real leap of faith. I don’t envision that happening, and I don’t envision it happening at any point, quite honestly, no matter who’s in charge out there,” former great Troy Aikman said.

Los Angeles Rams vs. Dallas Cowboys NFL Week 15 Pick

The Cowboys’ problem remains the same. They have the best total and passing offense in the league (430.8 and 306.8 yards per game respectively). They are in the top 10 in rushing yards per game (124.1). And they have a defense that is often good and sometimes even great.

But they simply need to score more points. Otherwise all those yards they gain and all those yards they don’t allow are empty yards. I’m not crazy about the Rams, but I’d have to be crazy to bet on Dallas.
