Betting New York Jets
The New York Jets entered the second season of the Todd Bowles’ era in 2016 and it turned out to be a lot worse than anyone really expected. The Jets finished the season with a 5-11 record that pegged them as the worst team in the AFC East, a massive step-down from the second-place finish the franchise had enjoyed the year before.
Now Bowles is starting to feel the heat from the hot seat. If New York can deliver winning results, it won’t be long before the organization sends him packing. Maybe Bowles will be able to find a job in Buffalo however, considering that the last person the Jets fired was picked up right away by the Bills.
The Jets come into this matchup as massive US sportsbook underdogs and for one predominant reason: Josh McCown. McCown is a 14-year veteran who has played for more teams than one would care to count. Unfortunately, he’s not the most dominant quarterback and it’s questionable if he’ll be able to lead you to an 8-8 season let alone a win over a divisional rival.
Betting Buffalo Bills
The Bills became the laughingstock of the AFC East when they decided to give Rex Ryan another head coaching opportunity after the Jets fired him. In the end, Ryan ended up getting fired from another team in the division but at the very least the Bills were able to learn their lesson. In the end, Buffalo’s season had one highlight and it came in Week 4 when the Bills miraculously upset the Patriots on the road.
The Bills enter the 2017 season with one online sportsbook goal in mind; to qualify for the playoffs and snap the 17 year postseason drought that’s looming over Buffalo. Sean McDermott is the man tasked with doing it as he will be taking over for the dismissed Ryan.
If you feel confident that the Bills can walk away with this one, you should check out the odds InterTops sportsbook has available. The money line would require a big wager to reap any real rewards so bettors might want to wager on the spread instead. The Bills have a much more explosive offense than the Bills and should be able to beat them by more than 6.
