Seminoles’ 2016 Recap
The Florida State Seminoles finished the 2016 season with a 10-3 record (5-3 in ACC play) that gave way to a 3rd place finish in the Atlantic Division. The Seminoles might not have performed well enough to earn an invitation to the ACC Championship match or even the College Football Playoffs, but they were still good enough to garner an invitation to the Orange Bowl. Once there, the Seminoles proceeded to hand No. 6 Michigan a 33-32 loss. Florida finished the season ranked No. 8th overall in the nation and comes into the 2017 with a No. 3 preseason ranking. We’ll have to see if Florida State goes up or down in the coming weeks.
Jimbo Fisher returns in his 11th year with Florida State (8th as head coach) looking to build upon last year’s success. Fisher is joined by co-offensive coordinators Lawrence Dawsey and Randy Sanders. Charles Kelly returns to call the shots on defense in his 4th season as coordinator.
Bama’s 2016 Recap
After winning the national title in 2015, most US sportsbooks felt that the Alabama Crimson Tide was destined to win another title. Bama almost won it too, making it all the way to 2016’s national championship match – where they lost a close match 31-35. Nevertheless, Alabama once again comes into the college football betting season as the online sportsbook favorite to win it all. The Crimson Tide finished the 2016 season with a 14-1 (8-0 in SEC play) record, a 1st place finish in the East Division, and an SEC title. It stands to reason that the Crimson Tide will find similar success this upcoming season, despite the fact that they have a good deal of uncertainty at the quarterback position.

Nick Saban returns to lead the Tide in his 11th season at the helm. Saban will be looking to build on an already impressive college football betting resume. Saban is joined by 1st year offensive coordinator Brian Daboll.
Best Sportsbook Bets to Make: This might be a tough game to bet on.US sportsbooks feel pretty confident that Bama will walk away victorious, but it just feels like the team will have a hard time shaking last season’s loss. Coupled with the odds MyBookie.ag has for the Seminoles; picking Florida State on the money line seems very promising.
