Betting Cleveland Browns

The Browns are the road dogs on this one, according to the best online sportsbooks. Cleveland defeated the Ravens 40-25 last September, but the Ravens’ offense was better than the score reflected. Lamar Jackson passed for 247 yards and ran for 66. Jackson did throw two interceptions, but also three touchdowns. Mark Ingram had 71 yards and almost six yards per carrying. Even on a good day, the Browns have trouble stopping the Ravens offense.

In the second 2019 clash, Jackson had three more TDs and 238 yards through the air. He added more than 100 on the ground. Gus Edwards and Mark Ingram had 121 yards between the two. Mark Andrews caught six receptions for 93 yards and two TDs. If you’re keeping score, Cleveland gave up a total of 485 passing yards and six TDs to Jackson last season. The Browns allowed 416 rushing yards and 56 points. If the Baltimore defense hadn’t disappeared in the first game, the Ravens might have swept the Browns.

Per the best USA sportsbooks, Cleveland is 1-4 ATS in their last five games. The total has gone over in four of Cleveland’s last six games. The Browns are 1-4 SU in their last five games. 3-6 ATS in their last nine games against Baltimore. 4-16 SU in their last 20 games against the Ravens. 0-6 ATS in their last six games on the road. 2-10 SU in their last 12 games playing on the road against Baltimore. 6-13-1 SU in their last 20 games against an opponent in the AFC North. The total has gone over in 13 of Cleveland’s last 20 games in September. Cleveland is 4-11 ATS in their last 15 games played in week 1.

Betting Baltimore Ravens

In addition to their superlative offense, the Ravens have The Baltimore Ravens have an exciting secondary. Chuck Clark was a sixth-round pick out of Virginia Tech in 2017. He had limited chances to shine in his first two seasons. Last season Clark became a starter and led Baltimore’s defense in tackles. He probably never expected to become one of the leaders. Then there is DeShon Elliott. He was drafted in 2018 and missed his entire rookie season with an injury. in 2019, he played just six games before having a season-ending injury. Elliott is in line to earn the starting spot as free safety.

Like Clark, Elliott was a sixth-rounder. He has always had a lot of hype about him though. In college he was a play-maker who had a gift for getting the ball away from the other team. The potential was easy to see when he was picked a couple of years ago. If he worked out it would be a dream come true. He would be labeled as a veritable diamond in the rough as well as a comeback story. A fighting young safety replacing a locker room tumor is the perfect ending – or beginning.
Finally, we have the cornerback position. Baltimore has a chance to turn Jimmy Smith into a Raven for life. Smith is heading into his 10th season with the organization. As a result of his injury history, he has always been underrated by fans. The fact remains that Smith has always been a huge part of this team. He’s still going strong and that’s a plus.
