It’s common practice for the opening week of the online NFL betting season to feature two Monday night football games. While some fans may have qualms about this, the double-header actually only extends the amount of time players can dedicate to drinking beer this evening.

With this being a divisional matchup, both teams will be putting a little more oomph in their effort this evening. With the Oakland Raiders and the Kansas City Chiefs both winning their Week 1 matchups – kudos to Kansas City for knocking off the reigning Super Bowl champion New England Patriots by the way, the race in the AFC West is tight out of the get go.

This was to be expected however, with the division housing such considerable talent; the Chiefs and Raiders both made the playoffs last season and the Broncos won the Super Bowl two years ago. It goes without saying that both teams will be vying to stay relevant in the division this evening. Let’s take a look at which team USA sportsbooks are siding with this evening.

USA Sportsbook Odds:

Los Angeles Chargers +3 (-110)     43 (-105)         +135

Denver Broncos -3 (-110)     43 (-115)         -155

The offshore sportsbook odds have spoken and they’ve chosen to peg the Denver Broncos as betting favorites this evening. It makes sense since the Broncos are probably the more well-rounded team, despite their current problem at quarterback

Trevor Siemian emphatically underperformed in his first full season as Denver’s starter, posting an 84.6 passer rating with 18 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Nevertheless, the Broncos have a gut-feeling that Siemian will make a sizable improvement in his second season under center. Denver will certainly need some strong play at the quarterback position if they are to be competitive in the division this season.

The Chargers have their quarterback and Phillip Rivers, but they’ll need some improvement on defense if they’re to be taken serious in 2017. A little more consistency on the offense wouldn’t hurt either. San Diego only won 5 games last season but they’ll be looking for better results in Anthony Lynn’s first season as the Chargers’ head coach.

Sportsbook Online Bets to Make: This is a tough game to predict only because we don’t know what to expect from Denver’s offense. We can expect great play from their defense however, so the best bets to make will be picking the Broncos on the spread or the under prediction on the totals line.
