Good sportsbook players are getting just what they bargained for in the Western Conference Finals between the Houston Rockets and the Golden State Warriors. Although Golden State was able to deliver a beating in Game 1, the Rockets bounced right back in Game 2. Afterwards, the Warriors returned the favor by taking Game 3 in their backyard. And since they’re coming off a win, Golden State is heavily favored to take Game 4 as well. What should NBA bettors do about these championship odds?

Betting Houston

The Rockets are coming off a 126-85 on the road manhandling and will be looking for a vast turnaround. Although Houston won’t be putting the blame on anyone in specific, NBA pundits were particularly unimpressed with Chris Paul’s performance. Paul would finish the night with 13 points, 4 assists and 10 rebounds. Certainly not an MVP performance, and it left a lot to be desired. But James Harden didn’t exactly lead the way either as he finished Game 3 with 20 points, 9 assists and 5 rebounds. Considering that Harden has put up 40 point performances in this series, Houston needs their stars to deliver more. What’s worse is that they’re facing an offensive team. You’re never going to beat Golden State with 85 on the scoreboard. And if Golden State can consistently hold you under 90 points, you’re in for a bad time.

Betting Golden State

The Warriors are pegged as heavy favorites in this Game 4 matchup and rightfully so. It’s hard to beat Golden State but it’s especially hard to beat them in Oakland. It’s not impossible for the Rockets to deliver an upset; they have the talent. However, the Warriors have even more talent, come in with the momentum, and they’ll have the home court behind them. Nothing short of a miracle will be needed to overcome those odds. Stephen Curry came up big in Game 3 with a 35 point performance, as well as 1 assist and 6 rebounds. Kevin Durant wasn’t that far behind with 25 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds. Draymond Green played a vital part to Golden State’s success with a whopping 17 rebounds on the night.
