Betting Manchester City

Head coach Pep Guardiola has his side rolling. In their past 23 games in all competitions, City has gone 19-0-4. They have scored sixty-eight goals and they have allowed only 13 for an impressive +55 goal differential.

In the champions league, they have a 7-0-5 record. They eliminated such sides as Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, which are, as you may know, the cream of the crop. The best online sportsbooks have given Manchester City 83 percent implied odds of winning this elite tournament for the first time in team history.

There doesn’t seem to be any chance that they will crap the bed like they did in the 2021 Finals when they were -260 favorites at top sports betting sites as they went up against fellow Premier League team Chelsea.

City has been resting players like Erling Haaland and Ilkay Gundogan in their final two games of the Premier League season. City’s local campaign was over on May 28 while Inter still had one more game on their season that is going to be played less than a week before the final. The Citizens will be have been rested and in top form. That does not bode well for Inter.

Betting Inter

Before Inter’s Semi-Final game versus rivals AC Milan, we said that Inter was a strong dark horse to win the tourney. Making it all the way to the Finals is a great step toward winning the Champions League.

Now they have to win just one more game. Unlike Man City, Inter lacks a singular goal threat along the lines of Erling Haaland. Milan’s top four scorers, Dzeko, Lukaku, Barella and Martinez, total only one more goal in this tourney than Manchester City’s Haaland and his dozen scores.

In match week 37, Lukaku, Barella, and Martinez would all score, and Inter won 3-2 against Atalanta. So these three players are at the peak of their game going as they go forward. That multi-pronged aspect of Inter’s offensive attack forces their foes to try to keep all of those aforementioned strikers at bay.

That is easier said than done, as becomes apparent by the fact that they are in the Finals for the first time since the 2009-10 season when they won the tournament.

Inter Milano vs. Manchester City Pick

There is value in backing Milan to pull a major upset, but we can’t see a different result than Manchester City winning. Having said that, the last two Champions League winners were underdogs heading into the Finals.

The final was initially scheduled to be held at Wembley Stadium in London, England. Nonetheless, as a result of the postponement and relocation of the 2020 final because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the scheduled venues for subsequent finals were pushed back a year. Thus, the Allianz Arena in Munich was assigned the 2023 final.

When the 2021 final, which had been slated to be held in Istanbul, had to be relocated as well because of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2023 final was awarded to Istanbul instead. Munich will now be hosting the 2025 final.

The winners of the game will automatically receive a bid for the 2023–24 UEFA Champions League group stage, and they will earn the right to play against Sevilla, who won the 2022–23 UEFA Europa League, in the 2023 UEFA Super Cup and they will enter both the 2023 and 2025 FIFA Club World Cups.

This is going to be the first matchup in UEFA competitions between Manchester City and Inter Milan. This will be Manchester City’s second UEFA Champions League final appearance since they appointed head coach Pep Guardiola, as well as the first since 2021, when they went on to lose 0–1 to Chelsea at the Estádio, do Dragão.

Guardiola is going to be looking to be winning his first UEFA Champions League final since the 2011 season with former team Barcelona when they defeated Manchester United 3–1 at Wembley Stadium. He did not win the competition with the Bayern Munich soccer team.
