Week 4’s Thursday Night Football will consist of a rivalry as old as the league itself. The Chicago Bears will do their best to march into Lambeau Field and take on their NFC North rivals, the Green Bay Packers. The Packers are coming off a tough home win against the sportsbook online underdog Cincinnati Bengals that ended up going into overtime. Incidentally, the Bears also had their contest o into overtime this past weekend.

The Chicago Bears had the privilege of facing the Pittsburgh Steelers at home this past Sunday. The home turf ended up playing a large part in the outcome of the game as the Bears actually gave the Steelers a run for their money – something no sportsbook betting player could’ve imagined. The Bears drug their contest into overtime to edge out a late 23-17 win over their opponents. While that was an incredible performance to upset a playoff caliber team, Chicago will face an even greater task this Thursday.

One of the biggest challenges that both teams will be facing this Thursday is the short rest that they’ll have to contend with. Both the Bears and the Packers had their contest extend into overtime, and with Green Bay down 7 starters, the Pack was exhausted following their Sunday afternoon game. Vince Lombardi, the greatest coach Green Bay has ever seen, once said that fatigue makes cowards of us all. If that’s true, the team who fails to recover will end up losing this Thursday.

Luckily for the Packers, they’ll get to enjoy home field advantage once again this week. Having the home crowd to back them up allows Aaron Rodgers to communicate more effectively with his offense. If Green Bay’s offense is all on the same page, they’re quite the difficult bunch to stop. The Packers come into this game averaging 22.3 points per outing which is slightly better than the 15.7 the Bears are putting up. If you feel confident that Green Bay can defend Lambeau against their rivals, why not cash in on the -330 best sportsbook odds on the money line. Alternatively, you can take the underdogs at +268.

Players who prefer to bet on the spread can also cash in on some eye-catching action. The Packers enter this game as a 7-point favorite on the spread line. Green Bay is 1-2 against the spread this season which doesn’t inspire a lot of hope in fans looking to back the Pack. Additionally, the Bears are 2-1 against the spread this season, making a bet on Chicago’s spread seem like the better option.

Sportsbook betting lines aside, there’s a lot at stake this Thursday. Green Bay is tied for the lead in the North with the Detroit Lions and a divisional win would go a long way to solidify the Packers’ standing in the division. That said, there’s nothing that riles up a Bears fans quite like the opportunity to sour their rival’s season. Expect Chicago to come out hot.
