Located in a spectacular setting on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean the Seminole Golf Club is an exquisite venue. Consistent with that is the unusually challenging course layout. Every hole at the Seminole Golf Club is designed so that golfers must confront different wind directions. Due to COVID-19 no fans will be allowed at Sunday’s event.
Especially interesting is the exclusive nature of Seminole Golf Club. It has never hosted a professional only event. In the same way this will be the first time ever that the course has been shown on television for golf fans.
Taylor Made Driving Relief Golf Format
On the whole Sunday’s event is what is known in Golf Betting as a best-ball skins. Each whole will be worth different amounts of prize money. On any hole in which there is a tie the prize money carries over to the next hole. Accordingly, the team with the most money at the end of the round wins the round.
At the onset each team will begin the match with $500,000. In like manner $2 million more at stake during the actual competition. Holes 1-6 are worth $50,000 each. While holes 7-16 will be worth $100,000 each. The 17th hole is worth $200,000 while the 18th hole is worth $500,000. Now if the 18th hole is tied the players will return to the 17th. From there they will play from 125 yards. Should that hole be tied there will be a closest to the pin competition.
Farmers Insurance will donate additional COVID-19 funds for birdies and eagles. To illustrate a birdie is worth $25,000. Eagles get a donation of $50,000.
A Broadcast Format for Our Current Times
Lead announcer Mike Tirico will be ensconced in his Michigan home calling the action from there. While commentators Paul Azinger and Rich Lerner will be located in an off-site production facility. Three more announcers will be on the Seminole Golf Club grounds. Jerry Foltz, Steve Sands, and Gary Koch are the trio. Additionally, each player will be mic’d up for the entire competition.
