The Green Bay Packers are slight favorites at the Minnesota Vikings to bet on Sunday night football on NBC. Both teams are coming off wins last week as the Packers beat the Jaguars while the Vikings took out the Titans. This will be the first regular season home game for the Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium. The spotlight on the Minnesota side will be at quarterback as it could be Sam Bradford getting his first start for the Vikings.

Sunday Night NFL Odds

Green Bay Packers -2.5, total 43.5

Minnesota head coach Mike Zimmer has said he won’t name the starting quarterback for Sunday night’s game until just before game time but it would be a surprise if it is not Bradford. Shaun Hill is really just a backup quarterback and the Vikings didn’t trade for Bradford not to play him. The Vikings offense did very little last week in the win over Tennessee as kicker Blair Walsh made four field goals and the Vikings defense scored two touchdowns.

The Packers survived last week against Jacksonville even though the offense was out of synch. Aaron Rodgers said that the offense had repeated communication problems that caused problems. Head coach Mike McCarthy took the blame for the issues but the reality is that Rodgers barely saw the field in the preseason so it shouldn’t have come as a surprise that the Green Bay offense wasn’t ready to go.
