Betting Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers are the road chalk according to the best offshore sports betting sites. Pittsburgh is trending upward as a Super Bowl pick. The Steelers bested the Giants, Broncos, Texans, Eagles and Browns in their first five games. Three of those wins were by nine or more points. The last two contests versus Tennessee and Baltimore have been more complicated, but Pittsburgh got the job done.

In the win over Baltimore last weekend, Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger had 182 yards and two TDs. James Conner had 47 yards and one TD on 15 carries. JuJu Smith-Schuster had seven recs for 67 yards.

Betting Dallas Cowboys

The Boys are the home underdogs per the best offshore sports betting sites. The Cowboys didn’t look playoff-bound even when they had a healthy Dak Prescott. Their defense was one of the worst in the league. Now their offense is just as bad, scoring just 7.3 points and gaining 250.3 yards per game in their last three.

Rookie QB Ben DiNucci was terrible last week. Expect either Cooper Rush or Garrett Gilbert to get the nod this week. Those two have thrown a total of nine NFL passes in their careers, so improvement is not likely. Whichever gets the job would be outmatched against any defense anyway, and especially a Steelers D that leads the NFL in sacks and is second in defensive DVOA.

It is never easy to back a road fave with a line so big. But then the Cowboys have been getting nothing but prison beatings as of late. They are coming off a 14-point loss to a sucky Eagles team. They lost by 22 points to the 2-5 Washington Redskins the previous Sunday. And were crushed 38-10 at home by the Cardinals in Week 6.

It has been a rough season riddled with injuries and bad gameplay. In the last three games, the Cowboys have had problems finding their offensive mojo without starting QB Dak Prescott. They scored just 10 points versus the Cardinals, three versus Washington and nine versus the Eagles last weekend. In the 23-9 loss to Philadelphia, Dallas QB Ben DiNucci had 180 yards on 21-of-40 passing without a score or a pick. Ezekiel Elliott led the Dallas ground attack with 63 yards on 19 carries. Michael Gallup had 61 yards on seven recs.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Dallas Cowboys NFL Pick

The Cowboys are 0-8 ATS this season and the Steelers 5-0 ATS in their last five. So, you know, take Pittsburgh to cover the spread. As for the total, this one is hard to figure out because the Steelers score 30.1 points per game, but they will have trouble dragging this total over by themselves.

The Cowboys have gone way under the total in each of their past three games. They should get shut down by Pittsburgh’s fierce defense. Pittsburgh plays at the second-slowest pace in the NFL, averaging 29.49 seconds per play. That number increases to 31.24 seconds per play when they are ahead by seven or more points. Once Pittsburgh gets up early in this game, the Steelers will put things in the freezer, control possession, and get a win just under the total.
