Online sports betting sites are backing the Clemson Tigers to continue their dominance of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Clemson has won the last three meetings in the rivalry by an average margin of 17 points. And lo and behold, the best online sportsbooks favor the Tigers by 16.5 points this time around. Georgia Tech won’t go down without a fight, though. “I know we’re the underdog, but I love that. I’d rather be the underdog any day,” linebacker Brant Mitchell said. “The whole country knows they’ve got some of the best skills players in the nation. But we’re going to have something for ’em. As long as we play to our ability, we’ll be just fine.”

The Yellow Jackets have lost their last two straight. “Definitely 1-3 is something we don’t want to do,” linebacker Jalen Johnson added. “We have an amazing opportunity. If we can upset Clemson, it could turn around the whole season.”

Betting Clemson

This is arguably the most attainable online legal sports betting sites spread for the Tigers so far. Not counting the Aggies, of course. Clemson was a 49-point favorite against Furman and a 31.5-point fave over Georgia Southern. They failed to cover on both instances, but still pounded the crap out of those schools. The competition between co-QBs Trevor Lawrence and Kelly Bryant is really doing wonders for Clemson. Lawrence is 26-for-42 for 424 yards, five touchdowns and one pick. Bryant is 30-for-44 for 405 yards, two touchdowns and one pick.

Betting Georgia Tech

Starting QB TaQuon Marshall is completing 47.1 percent of his passes for 353 total yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions. Makes no difference though, since this is a running team. Marshall himself has 293 yards and four touchdowns on 50 carries. Running back Jordan Mason has 274 yards and one TD on 34 carries. And his backup Tobias Oliver has 169 yards and three TDs on 30 carries. Which is all well and good. But to paraphrase Johnny Cash, you can run on for a long time, but sooner or later Clemson’ll cut you down.

GT’s offense is a single-edged sword. And while that edge is very sharp, it might get blunted out against Clemson’s defensive line. In other words, GT is the best at the run, but the Tigers might just be better at stopping the run. That alone should ensure Clemson gets the win and covers the online sports betting sites spread.
