Betting Seattle Dragons
The Dragons lost their second straight game, 16-23 to Saint Louis in Week 4, as 12-point road dogs, according to the best online sportsbooks. Three QBs went 10 of 22 for 128 yards with one TD and one pick. One of them, BJ Daniels, also rushed for 84 yards on seven carries. Daniels made a good case for starting in Week 5 in lieu of Brandon Silvers. Daniels only completed five of 10 attempts but averaged 10 yards per throw to Silvers’s 2.7.Wide receiver Alonzo Moore had 57 yards on one reception. Seattle allowed 392 total yards, 264 passing and 133 rushing. Outside linebacker Steven Johnson led the team with eight combined tackles (three solo).
“Our team is just great men. They just care about Mohammed [Seisay]. They wanted to know right away what was going on. Everyone is disappointed about the fact that we lost and the BattleHawks did a great job of hanging in there and we felt like we gave a spark to the group with B.J. Daniels coming in in the second half,” Dragons head coach Jim Zorn on said.
Betting Houston Roughnecks
The Necks prolonged their undefeated streak to 4-0 with a 27-20 win over the Dallas Renegades in Week 4 as one-point road faves, per the best gambling sites. Starting QB Phillip Walker went 25 of 41 for 239 yards with two TDs, one pick, and one sack. Wide receiver Nick Holley had 97 yards and one TD on eight catches. The rushing crops gained 74 yards on 18 carries. Houston outyarded Dallas 307 to 292. Though it could have been more, had the Roughnecks not lost 57 yards on penalties. On the bright side, Houston forced five TOs, including two Dallas’s fumbles which the Necks recovered. Outside linebacker Edmond Robinson had a game-breaking strip-sack-scoop. Cornerback Deatrick Nichols had two of the three early interceptions against opposing QB Landry Jones.
“We talk about those takeaways all the time. Our defense just kept hanging in there. We needed to score more points when we had our chances with those takeaways, but it’s a team game and did enough on each side of the ball to win and that’s gonna be the start of a pretty good rivalry,” Roughnecks head coach June Jones said. Houston translated their first four takeaways into 21 points. They sealed the deal and with a later one. Of the Roughnecks’ nine picks this season, they have converted six have into scores, including all three off Jones in Week 4. “I thought the defense played exceptional today. They carried us,” said Walker. “Offensively, we played decent. We have to play better next week.”
Speaking of Houston’s QB, he is “Affectionately nicknamed, “Walker Texas Ranger,”. Apparently, “he has taken the league [and Houston] by storm and been labeled “The face of the XFL.”” Additionally, “The Houston Roughnecks are officially Texas’ team.”
Seattle Dragons vs. Houston Roughnecks XFL Pick
These two teams are at opposite ends of the XFL spectrum. Users of the best gambling sites should have no doubts that, barring any unforeseen event, the Necks will beat the Drags. But can they pile on the 13 points needed to cover? If Seattle starts BJ Daniels, and he plays the entire game the way he played the second half on Sunday. Then I believe the Dragons will improve overall. They will still lose, but also remain within the point spread.
