Betting Dallas

On Landry Jones’s XFL debut, the Renegades bounced back from their own underwhelming league debut. Jones went 28 of 40 for 305 yards with one TD, two picks and two sacks. To lead Dallas to a 25-18 win over the LA Wildcats in Week 2. The ‘Gades entered that game as 4.5-point road favorites, according to the best online sportsbooks. Additionally, wide receiver D. Parham had 76 yards and one TD on five catches. Running back Cameron Artis-Payne rushed for 99 yards and two TDs on 14 carries. He finished with 131 all-purpose yards and an average of 7.1 yards per tote. Dallas lost 103 yards to penalties. But still managed to outgain Los Angeles 444 total yards to 251. Wide receiver Joshua Crockett caught a 39-yard pass from Jones, of which he said:

“Just make a play. I trust Landry fully; it’s his first day back. Something we’ve been working on since OTAs. For him to have that trust in me to go make a play, to bring energy to this team and then come out with a great team victory — you know, it wasn’t pretty in the beginning, but we found a way as a team at the end of the day — and that’s all you can ask for.”

The Renegades got off to a slow start – as did the Wildcats. As a matter of fact, Jones can thank his lucky stars the LA squad didn’t take advantage of his turnovers. Which included a fumble in addition to the two interceptions. CA-P also took his time to get going, but once he did, he was unstoppable, scoring twice in the fourth quarter.

Betting Seattle

The Dragons upset the Tampa Bay Vipers 17-9 in Week 2 as 2.5-point home dogs, per top offshore sportsbooks. Starting QB Brandon Silvers went 7 of 18 for 91 yards with one TD, one pick, and two sacks. Wide receiver K. Reynolds had 87 yards and one TD on three receptions. Running backs T. Williams and K. Farrow each had 45 yards on the ground. Nothing spectacular but enough to get the W, though that wouldn’t have been possible without the defensive effort. Linebacker Steven Johnson recorded 10 combined tackles. Seattle also sacked TB’s two QBs a total four times.

“I couldn’t be more excited for our players because most of our players, almost all of them, have never experienced the support this stadium could give them and that was kind of exciting for them. And I think they saw how the fans created the atmosphere and in that creation, they felt at home as well, not out of place at all. I hope we can continue to improve. We still have a lot to work on and they know it, but they were resilient today and we ended up being fortunate to win the game,” Dragons head coach Jim Zorn said.

Dallas Renegades vs. Seattle Dragons XFL Pick

The Renegades relied heavily on the run in Week 2. And they may have to do it again if Jones hasn’t regained his footing yet – that is, if he ever has had it. Then again, Silvers looked even worse than Jones. All instance, both teams didn’t so much win their games as their opponents lost them. I always tell top offshore sportsbooks’ users to take the points with the better team. Failing that, I always say take the less bad team. Which in this case would be Dallas
