With 47 points scored, 163 yards rushing from Lamar Jackson, and a big victory over the nine-win Cleveland Browns, the Baltimore Ravens have reasserted themselves as a team to be reckoned with.
In the updated playoff picture, the Ravens are still sitting at No. 8 and are not quite in the postseason yet. But when betting online, you might notice that the Ravens have moved up to the fourth-most likely team to win the AFC at +900.
Kansas City remains the favorite as the current top seed (-140), and the Steelers and Bills are now tied for second-most likely to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl (+500).
AFC Playoff Scenarios
In the AFC West, the Chiefs have already clinched their fifth consecutive division title. A win over the Chargers and one win over either the Saints or Falcons will clinch the AFC’s top seed.
The Las Vegas Raiders are not dead yet when it comes to the playoffs. They sit one game behind the Dolphins and Ravens, who are tied, but they play the Dolphins in Week 16.
The current second seed in the conference is the AFC North’s Pittsburgh Steelers. To hold on to the second seed, the Steelers must stay above the Buffalo Bills (Pittsburgh is currently one game ahead) and hold off the Browns for first place. Pittsburgh is up on the Browns by two games, but the two teams play in Week 17.
As things sit right now in the AFC South, the Titans are in as division champions, and the Colts are in as a Wild Card team and the sixth seed by virtue of a loss to Cleveland.
But Tennessee and Indianapolis are tied (the Titans have the edge in winning percentage against division foes), and a number of scenarios exist for either team to win the division.
The AFC East will be Buffalo’s with one more win. The Dolphins are currently the seventh seed in the playoffs but have the toughest road down the stretch with the Patriots, Bills, and Raiders.
NFC Playoff Scenarios
Washington is currently a game ahead of the Giants in the NFC East but still has a tough game against Seattle. New York still plays the Browns and Ravens.
The Packers have clinched the NFC North and would be the top seed in the conference because of a head-to-head win over New Orleans. An online bet on Green Bay to advance to the Super Bowl pays +250.
The Vikings and Bears sit a game out of the postseason at 6-7. They play each other this week.
The NFC South is the Saints’ to lose. They are the second seed in the NFC and have a two-game lead over Tampa Bay. With two games left against Atlanta and a game with Detroit, the Bucs are a safe bet to be a Wild Card team.
The NFC West is down to the Rams and Seahawks. They are tied at 9-4 and play each other in Week 16. Arizona is the final postseason seed at the moment after its win over the Giants. The Cardinals play the Rams in Week 17.
