The Pittsburgh Steelers didn’t panic when Ben Roethlisberger went down with a season-ending injury. Instead they did what they could to make the best out of the situation, because that’s what winning organizations do.

Even though the Baltimore Ravens are doing very well now in the AFC North, Pittsburgh is hanging in there. And it’s happened with Mason Rudolph at quarterback, covering four of five games with him (and one with Devlin Hodges).

So believe us when we tell you that they are not helpless as they move into Sunday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. Game time is set for 4:25 PM ET at Heinz Field. And remember that if you are a BetAnySports customer, not only do you get reduced juice to give you a better price than the 11-to-10, but also Sports Betting Ultra, which enables wagering in real time.

Mason argues his case

Naturally the Steeler fans has pinned their playoff hopes to Big Ben. And we are not going to go so far as to say that they haven’t missed a beat with Rudolph. But they have been able to improvise a game plan that took Rudolph’s relative lack of experience into account. So that meant short passes that did not carry a lot of risks.

But when you take his whole skill set into account, they are capable of opening the offense up more. Remember that Rudolph was very aggressive when he played at Oklahoma State. So don’t fall under the assumption that this going to be all about the “dink and dunk.” He has completed 66% and has been picked off only four times in 165 attempts, which isn’t bad.

What they are going to need, as usual, is some support from the run game. And the Pittsburgh backfield has James Conner (380 yards). We’ve yet to see his best running. Jaylen Samuels and Benny Snell capable of doing things to justify playing time. Example: Samuels has caught 26 passes and runs some plays out of the wildcat formation.

Let’s take a look at the odds

In the pro football betting lines, the Rams are laying more than a field goal on the road:

Los Angeles Rams vs. Pittsburgh Steelers NFL Week 10 Betting Odds

Team SP/RL TOTAL ML
Rams -3½ (-105) 44 (-107) -195
Steelers +3½ (-105) 44 (-103) +166

And those numbers include reduced juice. It’s what helps you avoid laying the -110 at BetAnySports!

Are these the same Rams?

You probably noticed that the Rams haven’t had the same “explosiveness” on a consistent basis like last year. Not that they have been stopped regularly, but the Patriots may have shown some teams a possible blueprint to approach them when they held the Rams to just three points in the Super Bowl.

Jared Goff’s 11-7 ratio of touchdowns to interceptions is hardly jaw-dropping. And his quarterback rating, for what it’s worth, is lower than that of Rudolph. Todd Gurley definitely doesn’t have the same “zip” he had last year. He is, at the moment, averaging less than four yards per carry and has caught only 19 passes.

The Rams are not the intimidating offensive force that they have previously shown under Sean McVay. It’s not out of line at all to say that.

In conclusion…….

The Rams made a bold move picking up Jalen Ramsey. That makes for an interesting potential matchup against Juju Smith-Schuster. And this year, the Rams have been better at stopping the run. You knew that with a guy like Aaron Donald, they had the potential to do so.

By the way, Donald is back in his hometown here. He grew up in Pittsburgh and played college ball there. But the Steeler defense is the more intriguing proposition. Did you know they have NINE first-round draft picks? They have forced 19 turnovers and have 29 sacks.

These guys can’t be counted out, especially getting more than a field goal at home. And they have covered eight of their last nine as a dog. We’re on the “take” with Pittsburgh.

BetAnySports has more stuff to wager on when it comes to the NFL than anybody. And they are in a great position to give you value, because you’ll get reduced juice. It’s the best deal in the sportsbook industry…….And real-time wagering from Sports Betting Ultra keeps the thrills going throughout the game……….Make your deposits using debit cards, credit cards, person-to-person transfers or the virtual currency of Bitcoin, which is fast and easy with their automated system, and NEVER incurs a transaction fee!
