NFL gambling sites have reached the sixth week of NFL action. We make our way through October with previews of every game with odds from the best online sportsbooks.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Philadelphia Eagles Odds
Team | SP/RL | TOTAL | ML | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Buccaneers | -7 ( -110 ) | 51½ ( -110 ) | -310 | ![]() |
Eagles | +7 ( -110 ) | 51½ ( -110 ) | +250 | |
![]() |
Tom Brady and Co. are a top 5 DVOA offense. They excel at the passing game. The Eagles are the lowest-blitzing team in the league. They are also bottom-third in pressure rate. That doesn’t bode well. Having said that, the Bucs are traveling on a short week. They have a banged-up secondary going against a dynamic QB. Philadelphia can keep this somewhat close. This could be another high-scoring prime-time contest.
Pick: Eagles +7
Miami Dolphins at Jacksonville Jaguars Odds
Team | SP/RL | TOTAL | ML | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Dolphins | -3½ ( -110 ) | 45½ ( -110 ) | -195 | ![]() |
Jaguars | +3½ ( -110 ) | 45½ ( -110 ) | +165 | |
![]() |
Things haven’t gone well for eithers the Jaguars or Miami. The Dolphins are missing its starting QB. However, the spread is just three points at NFL gambling sites. There’s a chance that the Samoan Bulldozer Tua Tagovailoa can return from injury. The Dolphins’ offensive issues can only seem minor compared to the Jaguars’ 32nd-ranked pass defense.
Pick: Dolphins –3.5
Kansas City Chiefs at Washington Redskins Odds
Team | SP/RL | TOTAL | ML | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Chiefs | -6½ ( -110 ) | 55½ ( -110 ) | -300 | ![]() |
Washington | +6½ ( -110 ) | 55½ ( -110 ) | +240 | |
![]() |
The Chiefs have the best passing offense in the league. They rank second in early down success rate. As well as first in third-down conversion percentage. There really is no weak spot. Kansas City’s turnover problem will continue to even out.
Pick: Chiefs -6.5
Los Angeles Rams at New York Giants Odds
Team | SP/RL | TOTAL | ML | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Rams | -10½ ( -110 ) | 47½ ( -110 ) | -600 | ![]() |
Giants | +10½ ( -110 ) | 47½ ( -110 ) | -450 | |
![]() |
Los Angeles has the extra rest following a Thursday game. They are facing a Giants team riddled with injuries. In particular on offense. The Rams’ offense went into Week 5 second in DVOA and top five in yards per play.
Pick: Rams -10.5
Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts Odds
Team | SP/RL | TOTAL | ML | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Texans | +10 ( -110 ) | 43 (-110) | +450 | ![]() |
Colts | -10 ( -110 ) | 43 ( -113 ) | -490 | |
![]() |
The biggest spread of the week is next to this game. According to NFL gambling sites, the Colts are giving away 11.5 points.
Pick: We would advise against laying this many points. In this case, though, Indy may be the only alternative.
Cincinnati Bengals at Detroit Lions Odds
Team | SP/RL | TOTAL | ML | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Bengals | -3 ( -110 ) | 47½ ( -110 ) | -165 | ![]() |
Lions | +3 ( -110 ) | 47½ ( -110 ) | +140 | |
![]() |
The Lions again hung in a game that looked as if Detroit was ready to be blown out at any second. The result was momentarily leading in the final minute before they gave up a field goal as time expired. Detroit backers easily covered the number. It all depends on Joe Burrow’s status. If he does have a throat issue, the Lions and the field goal is the way to go.
Pick: Lions +3
Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears Odds
Team | SP/RL | TOTAL | ML | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Packers | -4½ ( -110 ) | 45 ( -110 ) | -220 | ![]() |
Bears | +4½ ( -110 ) | 45 ( -110 ) | +180 | |
![]() |
After losing embarrassingly to begin the season, the Packers have strung together four consecutive wins. Green Bay narrowly escaped Cincinnati in overtime, but this the type of game that topnotch teams win.
Pick: Packers –4.5
Los Angeles Chargers at Baltimore Ravens Odds
Team | SP/RL | TOTAL | ML | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Chargers | +3½ ( -110 ) | 49½ ( -110) | +160 | ![]() |
Ravens | -3½ ( -110 ) | 49½ ( -110) | -169 | |
![]() |
The Ravens have the home advantage but dealing with one fewer rest day. Expect the Chargers to respond.
Pick: Chargers +3.5
Minnesota Vikings at Carolina Panthers Odds
Team | SP/RL | TOTAL | ML | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Vikings | +1½ ( -110 ) | 46 ( -110 ) | +105 | ![]() |
Panthers | -1½ ( -110 ) | 46 ( -110 ) | -125 | |
![]() |
The Vikings’ 2-3 record is misleading; they could very well be 4-1 at this point.
Pick: Vikings +1.5
Arizona Cardinals at Cleveland Browns Odds
Team | SP/RL | TOTAL | ML | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Cardinals | +2½ ( -105 ) | 50 ( -110 ) | +125 | ![]() |
Browns | -2½ ( -115 ) | 50 ( -110 ) | -145 | |
![]() |
Arizona has one of the worst run defenses. That is where Cleveland will keep this close, holding the ball on long drives. As long as they don’t settle for field goals.
Pick: Browns +2.5
Las Vegas Raiders at Denver Broncos Odds
Team | SP/RL | TOTAL | ML | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Raiders | +3½ ( -110 ) | 44½ ( -110 ) | +160 | ![]() |
Broncos | -3½ ( -110 ) | 44½ ( -110 ) | -190 | |
![]() |
The Raiders bounce back against a Broncos team reeling from an upset loss to the Steelers.
Pick: Raiders +3.5
Dallas Cowboys at New England Patriots Odds
Team | SP/RL | TOTAL | ML | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Cowboys | -4 ( -110 ) | 49½ ( -110 ) | -210 | ![]() |
Patriots | +4 ( -110 ) | 49½ ( -110 ) | +175 | |
![]() |
The Pats could barely beat the lowly Texans, are going to be crushed by the rolling Cowboys.
Pick: Cowboys –4
Seattle Seahawks at Pittsburgh Steelers Odds
Team | SP/RL | TOTAL | ML | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Seahawks | +4½ ( -105 ) | 42 ( -110 ) | +185 | ![]() |
Steelers | -4½ ( -115 ) | 42 ( -110 ) | -225 | |
![]() |
Without Russell Wilson, Pittsburgh has a chance to build on week 5’s win.
Pick: Steelers +4.5
Buffalo Bills at Tennessee Titans Odds
Team | SP/RL | TOTAL | ML | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Bills | -5½ ( -110 ) | 54 ( -110 ) | -250 | ![]() |
Titans | +5½ ( -110 ) | 54 ( -110 ) | +200 | |
![]() |
The Bills’ offense is a terrible matchup for Tennessee. If they get out early, it could cancel out Derrick Henry to some degree.
Pick: Bills –5.5
Week 5 Analysis and Results
Atlanta 27-20 over N.Y. Jets
Matt Ryan was en fuego. He threw for 342 yards and two TDs. Defensively, the Falcons made the most of an inept Jets offense.
Minnesota 19-17 over Detroit
Kirk Cousins saved the day as the Vikings were trailing 17-16 with just 37 seconds remaining. He wormed his way over to field goal range by going 3 of 4 for 46 yards.
New Orleans 33-22 over Washington
After two TOs in the first quarter, Winston bounced back with four TD passes, one a 72-yarder to Deonte Harris and another a 49-yard Hail Mary to Marquez Callaway.
Tennessee 37-19 over Jacksonville
Derrick Henry carried the team them to a win in a game where he ran roughshod with 130 yards and three touchdowns.
Tampa Bay 45-17 over Miami
Antonio Brown grabbed seven catches for 124 yards and two touchdowns. Evans had six catches for 113 yards and two touchdowns. And Chris Godwin caught seven passes.
New England 25-22 over Houston
The Patriots were behind 22-9 in the third quarter. They mounted a wild rally that saw them outscore the Texans 16-0 in the final quarter-and-a-half.
Green Bay 25-22 over Cincinnati
Mason Crosby missed three consecutive field goals before converting the game-winner in overtime.
Philadelphia 21-18 over Carolina
Jalen Hurts had problems until the final four possessions. Head coach Nick Sirianni saddled him with way too many passes.
Pittsburgh 27-19 over Denver
Pittsburgh’s offensive line had its best game of the season yet. Big Ben was sacked only once, and the running game had a season-high 147 yards on 35 carries.
Arizona 17-10 over San Francisco
Murray was on point, and Rondale Moore showed op. But their backyard style left Murray exposed at times. He’s now dealing with what looks to be an aggravated throwing shoulder.
Chicago 20-9 over Las Vegas
The Bears’ win was not pretty by any stretch of the imagination, but Justin Fields and the defense were able to seal the deal.
Dallas 44-20 over N.Y. Giants
Another solid win for Dallas to cement themselves atop the NFC East. However, even the Cowboys have to admit that, like Liam Neeson at the end of Schindler’s List, they could have done a lot more.
L.A. Chargers 47-42 over Cleveland
Justin Herbert made the most of Cleveland’s mistakes. The Bolts also took advantage of some questionable decisions by the officials.
Buffalo 38-20 Kansas City
The Bills are now 4-1 and have by far the best point differential in the NFL. They look pretty much unstoppable.
