NFL gambling sites favor the San Francisco 49ers over the Green Bay Packers by 7.5 points, as the spread goes for the 2020 NFC Championship game at Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, on January 19, at 3:40 p.m. PST.

Betting Green Bay Packers

The Packers beat the Seahawks in the divisional round 28-23 as 4.5-point home faves, per the best online sportsbooks. Starting QB Aaron Rodgers went 16 of 27 for 243 yards with two TDs and two sacks. Wide receiver Davante Adams had 160 yards and two TDs on eight receptions. Running back Aaron Jones rushed for 62 yards and two TDs on 21 carries. Green Bay was outgained both through the air and on the ground but committed fewer penalties and allowed fewer sacks.

As recorded by NFL gambling sites, the under is 4-0 in the Packers’ last four games overall. And 6-0 in the Packers’ last six games after a straight-up win. The over is 4-0 in the Packers last four games in January.

Green Bay lost to San Francisco 8-37 as three-point road dogs in Week 12. The Packers have gone 6-1 SU and 4-2 ATS since. The bad news is that Rodgers has completed only 57.8% of his 109 passes. And thrown five picks to four TDs in his three NFC championship games. Moreover, Rodgers has played four games in San Francisco as starting quarterback since 2008. Rodgers has a 92.5 passer rating in those four games, while Green Bay is just 1-3. “(It’s) one of those games where we know every possession’s going to be really important,” he said. “It’s going to be loud. But this where it gets really fun. There’s only four teams left and we’re one of them. We’ve got a legitimate chance.”

Betting San Francisco 49ers

The Niners defeated the Vikings 27-10 in the divisional round as seven-point home favorites, according to NFL gambling sites. Starting QB Jimmy Garoppolo went 11 of 19 for 131 yards with one TD, one pick, and two sacks. Running back Tevin Coleman had 105 yards and two TDs on 22 carries. San Francisco outgained Minnesota 308 total yards to 147, and held the Vikes to just 21 rushing yards.

The under is 4-0 in the 49ers last four playoff games. And 5-1 in the 49ers last six games in January. The 49ers are 5-1 ATS playing a team with a winning record.

In that Week 12 win, the Niners accumulated 112 yards on the ground before they started taking it easy. George Kittle had 129 yards and one TD. Rodgers was sacked five times, fumbled once, and barely broke the 100-passing yard mark. A fumble in the opening drive preceded three consecutive three-and-outs. The writing was pretty much on the wall for the Packers. However, head coach Kyle Shanahan knows they have defeated, but not broken, Green Bay.

“We know it will be different,” Shanahan said. “We know that game got away from them early. That’s definitely not the team we’re going to see this week. Everyone knows how good Green Bay is, how good the coaching staff is, how good their players are, how good their quarterback is. I don’t think they’ve lost a game since then. I think that game really holds zero relevance to what’s going to happen this Sunday.”

NFC Championship: Green Bay vs. San Francisco Pick

I have said it before and I will say it again. It is not generally wise to bet against a healthy Aaron Rodgers. And even if the Niners neutralize the veteran enough to come out ahead, it will be closer than seven points. Either way, take Green Bay.
