Top Players Odds and Betting Analysis
Patrick Mahomes +400
The Kansas City Chiefs starting QB finished 2019 with 4031 passing yards. More than one thousand yards fewer than the previous season. But then he has a Super Bowl championship ring to show for it, so you won’t hear him complain. Mahomes is well known for keeping plays alive, running and scrambling his way out of pressure. As a matter of fact, he is, according to Touchdown Wire, the best QB under pressure. “Mahomes didn’t have the NFL’s highest passer rating under pressure in 2019 — that went to Drew Brees (98.6) to Mahomes’ 90.4. But no quarterback was more prolific when creating scoring plays — the reigning Super Bowl MVP threw 12 touchdowns to just three picks, with 1,170 yards”.
Even Von Miller, by his own admission, “can’t [stop Mahomes]. We’ve just got to score points. If we’re able to get off the field — you can hold them to a third-down here and there, but that’s on our offense. We’ve got to score on offense because you cannot — it’s not smart to go into the game and say we’re going to hold Patrick Mahomes to no points.”
Drew Brees +700
Breesus is always the best NFL gambling sites darling. He has led the league in passing yards in seven seasons, more than any other quarterback in history. Furthermore, Brees has five 5,000 yard passing seasons. No other QB has more than one. Last season, he failed to pass for at least 3000 yards for the first time since 2003. Then again, it was also the first time since that year that Brees missed more than one game. He was selected as the third-best player of the 2010s by PFF.
“Drew Brees has been the most accurate passer in league history and is closing in on being the most prolific in pretty much every passing category. Brees owns two of the top three seasons in the decade in terms of adjusted completion rate, and for the decade as a whole is more than two percentage points clear of the field. Brees had three seasons in the decade with a PFF grade above 90.0 and two more above 89.0. He has been a model of consistency and production despite rarely having consistent receivers or the depth of some of the other top quarterbacks.”
Aaron Rodgers +800
As hard as this may be to believe, the Green Bay Packers starting QB has never led the NFL in passing yards. And his own team is not making it easy for him to capture that elusive feat. Rodgers has thrown for more than 4000 yards in eight of the last 12 seasons and three of the last four. In spite of which the Packers selected a QB with their 2020 draft first-round pick, instead of a wide receiver – and there was a cadre of those to choose from. Green Bay devoted the rest of the draft to their run game, moving away from the all-pass, all-the-time offense built around Rodgers in the Mike McCarthy days.
Tom Brady +800
As far as the best UFC gambling sites go, Brady is a favorite at everything he tries. He is a three-time NFL passing yards leader (2005, 2007, 2017). Somewhat ironically, Brady has been brought to Tampa Bay to replace last season’s passing yards leader, Jameis Winston. Why? It just might have something to do with the fact that Winston also led the NFL in interceptions (30).
