They scored another TD on a 46-second drive to get within one score. The offense got the ball back again following a forced a fumble with 52 seconds remaining in the game. However, San Francisco stuck to their guns on for the 41-33 win.

The late-game rally attempt managed to give Detroit backers the ATS cover at best offshore sportsbooks for US players. The Lions closed as 9.5-point dogs. Jared Goff completed his Lions debut with 338 passing yards, three TDs and one pick. The majority of that output occured during the dreaded garbage time.

Betting Green Bay Packers

The Packers are heavy home chalk according to the best offshore sportsbooks for US players. The Green Bay Packers hope to avoid their first 0-2 start since the 2006 season. Against the Saints, Aaron Rodgers completed 53.6% of his passes for 133 yards, no touchdowns and two picks.

Davante Adams and Randall Cobb combined for 88 yards on six grabs. Marcedes Lewis had one reception. The Green Bay Packers ground game produced 43 yards.

AJ Dillion led the way with 19 yards on four totes. On defense, Green Bay allowed 38 points and 322 yards. Adrian Amos led the Green Bay Packers with nine tackles. Krys Barnes had eight tackles and De’Vondre Campbell six.

Green Bay was completely owned in every aspect of the game in the 38-3 upset to the New Orleans Saints last Sunday. The defense surrendered 322 total yards and five passing TDs. Aaron Rodgers looked like anything but the player who won NFL MVP last season.

He completed only 15 of 28 passes for 133 passing yards and two picks. All four teams in the NFC North division lost in Week 1 and there are 16 games left. That is to say, there is no reason to crack each other’s heads open and feast on the goo inside yet.

Having said that, Sunday’s loss was such a train wreck on both sides of the ball that there is enough to be concerned about. All eyes will be on the Packers to see how they respond in this home game against the modest Lions in prime time.

Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers NFL Betting Pick

Rodgers is going to take his frustrations out on the Lions, and the Packers should bounce back with a vengeance. Whether that will be enough to cover the point spread is another matter entirely. So let’s say Green Bay wins but Detroit covers.
