Top sports betting sites favor the Eagles over the Jags when the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Philadelphia Eagles play in week 4 of NFL action at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday afternoon. Following a breakthrough win in LA over the Chargers, the Jags sail to hostile waters to face the Philadelphia Eagles, one of two unbeaten teams left in the league. Trevor Lawrence found his footing with new head coach Doug Pederson. Two high-powered offenses take the field, pyrotechnics are bound to go off in this Week 4 matchup.

The best online sportsbooks opened the Eagles as -7 faves but top sports betting sites have since moved the line within the key number, with Philly at -6.5 early on in the week. The Eagles’ authoritative showing at Washington pales in comparison to what the Jags did out west. Two teams on the upswing make it interesting to see whether the line moves off 6.5 as we enter the latter days of the week.

Betting Jacksonville Jaguars

Following a ghastly 2021 season, the Jags have won two of the first three games led by Trevor Lawrence. After a 38-10 road win in LA, the Jaguars will try to keep the momentum going. New head coach Doug Pederson comes face to face with his old team. Lawrence was great in Hollywood. He completed 28 of 39 passes for 262 yards, 3 touchdowns and 0 turnovers. A bicephalous monster showd up in the backfield. James Robinson broke the 100 yard mark on the ground, while Travis Etienne had 45 yards to his name.

After he signed a hefty deal, Christian Kirk has been on a tear. With six receptions for 72 yards and a TD against the Bolts, he remains Lawrence’s top target in the air attack. The offense has looked on point, but the Eagles defense is a totally different beast as it became apparent in a routing of Washington.

The Jaguars have to establish the run game and keep the Eagles offense out of the field. It is a good sign to see the contribution of James Robinson and Travis Etienne. They will need more of that to quiet down the rowdy Philadelphia fans. Last week’s game in Los Angeles was pretty open, but the Jags should turn this game into a slobberknocker to keep it slow and close until the end.

Jaguars Stats

The Jacksonville Jaguars look to improve on their 38-10 win at Los Angeles Chargers last week to go 2-1 on the season. Trevor Lawrence has passed for 772 yards, six touchdowns and one interception on 69.4% completion.

James Robinson leads Jacksonville in rushing yards with 230 and three touchdowns this year. Christian Kirk has a team-best 267 receiving yards and three touchdowns with 18 catches. Zay Jones and Marvin Jones Jr. each 100+ receiving yards apiece this season. Devin Lloyd has 24 total tackles which include 16 solo tackles. Josh Allen has two sacks.

Betting Philadelphia Eagles

Philly and Miami are the only two unbeaten teams in the league after remarkable wins over the Lions, Vikings and Commanders. The Eagles ran through division rival Washington last weekend 24-8. Hurts continues impressing. He went 22-for-35 for 340 passing yards and 3 touchdowns. He added 20 rushing yards. Running back Miles Sanders had 15 totes for 46 yards. It is a sight for sore eyes to see Sanders becoming more involved.

The stars are wide receivers DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown. They combined for 13 receptions on 22 targets and more than 250 yards and 2 touchdowns. The offense is shiny and new, but the defense has remained solid too. They held the Commanders and Vikes to 8 and 7 points respectively. Charged with stopping an upswinging Jaguars offense, the defense will have a key part in the Week 4 clash.

The Eagles must get the ball to DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown soon and often. That gameplan succeeded in Washington. It should give way to Miles Sanders and Jalen Hurts toying with the solid Jaguars defensive front that includes No. 1 overall pick Travon Walker. Using run-pass-options should enable the Eagles offense to keep its killing pace.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Philadelphia Eagles Pick

The Eagles have been the better team on the defensive side of the ball. All things considered, we think that the Eagles will be the play until proven otherwise. In light of that, we will lay it and play it with the Eagles on this one.
