The Chicago Bears are six-point home faves over the New York Giants, as the legal online sports betting spread goes for their Week 12 NFL football game on November 24 at 12:00 p.m. CT   at Soldier Field.

Betting NY Giants

The Giants went on bye following a six-game losing streak. Before their week off, the Giants lost 27-34 to the Jets as three-point road favorites, per the best online sportsbooks. The Blue Boys’ 30th-in-the-league scoring offense hasn’t held an opponent to single digits since September 29. Starting QB Daniel Jones went 26 of 40 for 308 yards with four TDs and six sacks. Jones also led his team’s timid rushing with 20 yards on three carries. That’s 19 more yards than Saquon Barkley gained on 10 carries more. Ouch. The Giants’ 23 yards on the ground was embarrassing. Even for their 23rd-ranked rushing offense, which averages fewer than 100 yards per game.

According to legal online sports betting spread trends, the Giants are 1-4 ATS in their last five games after gaining fewer than 90 yards rushing in their previous game. 1-4 ATS in their last five games after gaining more than 250 yards passing in their previous game. And 1-5 ATS in their last six games after allowing over 30 points in their previous game.

“I’m just going to go back to having fun,” Barkley said. “Watching film of myself, I allowed — I don’t know what it was — for me not to be me. That’s what I’m getting back to this week. I’m going to go out there and ball and have fun.” But of course, Saquon. You do you. As long as you have fun, that’s all that matters. Winning isn’t everything. It certainly is not for the Giants.

Betting Chicago Bears

Da Bears have gone 1-5 SU and ATS in their last six games. That includes a 7-17 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 11. As 5.5-point road dogs, needless to say Chicago didn’t cover the legal online sports betting spread. The 17 points they allowed is on par with the Bears’ fourth-best-in-the-NFL scoring defense’s average. However, it’s not enough when your scoring offense ranks 28th with 16.9 points per game.

Starting QB Mitch Trubisky went 24 of 43 for 190 yards with one TD and one pick. Running back Tarik Cohen barely scrounged up 39 yards on nine carries. And though they gained as many yards as they usually do, Chicago’s total offense is still 30th in the league. As is their passing offense. Their rushing offense is slightly better off at 29th. The Bears’ defense, in the top 10 in all important statistical categories, played as well as usual. Talk about having a thankless job.

Chicago is 5-1 ATS in their last six home games playing a team with a losing road record. 5-1 ATS in their last six games after scoring fewer than 15 points in their previous game. And 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games in Week 12.

“The “incremental improvement” the Bears want from quarterback Mitch Trubisky is now being measured in millimeters. Matt Nagy’s current defense of Trubisky is that he has definitively “gotten a lot better” the last two weeks and if he truly believes that, he’s looking at this through a stronger microscope than everyone else. Or he’s using different criteria altogether. If the baseline is the Eagles game, when Trubisky steered the offense to the franchise’s worst first half in the modern era, then, sure, he’s been better in the two games since,” the Chicago Sun Times points out.

New York Giants vs. Chicago Bears NFL Week 12 Game Pick

The Giants emasculated offense should be no problem to the Bears’ top notch defense. Which doesn’t mean the latter’s offense is reliable enough to get the job done. All things considered, I would recommend betting on the under.
