This weekend’s college football betting action is almost her which means it’s time to size up the best and biggest sportsbooks spread bets of the weekend’s lineup. Being college football, there are a near innumerable amount of games for bettors to size up so tuning in for a guide like this is one of the best ways to maximize your time as well as your winnings.

Illinois Fighting Illini vs. Purdue Boilermakers

The 2-6 Fighting Illini will take on the 3-5 Purdue Boilermakers on the road and US online sportsbooks are leaning towards the home team on this one, pegging Purdue as a -600 favorite on the money line. Obviously, that’s not a bet you’re going to want to take. Instead, bettors should take the Boilermakers on the spread, cashing in on a -110 payout for a 14 point spread prediction. Purdue is 3-2 against the spread at home this season while Illinois is 1-2 ATS on the road. The Boilermakers’ offense is gaining 24.12 while their defense is allowing 20. Illinois may be averaging 17.5 per game, but they are likely to fall short of that mark on the road. Take Purdue on this one.

Wisconsin Badgers vs. Indiana Hoosiers

The undefeated 8-0 Badgers look to deliver a decisive finish against the 3-5 Indiana Hoosiers. We all know who’s going to win this matchup, as good sportsbooks are pegging Wisconsin as a -500 favorite straight up. The Badgers aren’t going to suffer their first loss of the season against Indiana and they’re not going to suffer an ATS loss either. Wisconsin is 2-1 against the spread on the road this season and this Saturday they’ll be looking to cover a 13 ½ point prediction. Indiana is 1-2-1 against the spread at home this season, so things are looking like the Badgers will in fact cover this spread. Wisconsin’s defense is allowing 12.8 points per game while their offense is gaining 35.0 each outing, so that -110 payout on the Badgers’ spread line is essentially guaranteed.

Massachusetts Minutemen vs. Mississippi St. Bulldogs

The 6-2 Mississippi State Bulldogs look to hold off Davis Wade Stadium against the 2-6 Massachusetts Minutemen. The odds are some of the most lopsided of the weekend as the biggest sportsbooks are pegging the Bulldogs at nearly -14000 favorites on the money line. The payout on a Minutemen upset is set at +5500 and while that may seem tempting, it’s not going to come to fruition. Instead, NCAA bettors should try their luck backing the Bulldogs on the spread. Mississippi State is 4-0 against the spread this season at home while their opponents have barely posted a 2-1 ATS record on the road. The Minutemen allow 30.50 points per game while the Bulldogs only allow 17.38, so it looks like Mississippi St. will be able to remain undefeated against the spread at home.

Syracuse Orange vs. Florida State Seminoles

One of the safest and biggest sportsbook bets of the weekend is backing the Syracuse Orange on the spread on the road. The Orange are 4-4 on the year and will be taking on the 2-5 Florida State Seminoles this weekend. NCAA bookmakers are siding with FSU on this one, pegging them as a -230 favorite straight up. An upset pick on Syracuse isn’t that bad of an option either, with a +190 payout. However, the real winner is backing S on the spread as they are 3-0 against the spread on the road this season.
