The Sunday night game in Week 6 has the Indianapolis Colts visiting the Houston Texans. Colts vs. Texans
Indianapolis head coach Chuck Pagano is 6-2 against the Texans while Houston head coach Bill O’Brien is 1-3 against the Texans. The Texans are scoring just 16.4 points per game which is tied for last in the NFL. The Colts are averaging 27.4 points per game which is 7th in the league. The Texans are giving up 20.8 points per game while the Colts are allowing 29.6 points per contest. The Texans have not been good in prime time as they are 1-7 on Sunday nights in their last eight games.
The Texans are not getting much out of quarterback Brock Osweiler who has had a quarterback rating of 68.8, 60.6, 82.5 and 56.1 in the last four games. The Texans threw $37 million guaranteed at Osweiler and they haven’t seen much from their investment. Only two quarterbacks in the NFL have thrown more interceptions than Osweiler.
“I think Brock is working very hard,” said O’Brien, “He’s very prepared. I think all of us, including himself, we all have to do a better job. I’m sure he’d be the first one to tell you. Look, he’s got to improve in this area, that area, you know all those things. I think overall I’ve been happy with the way the guy prepares. Not happy with the way the offense has played. Not blaming it on anybody. Really taking responsibility for it here, right here because that’s where the responsibility lies when you’re the head football coach.”
The Colts have Andrew Luck at quarterback but he has struggled to stay healthy. He has been sacked a league-high 20 times. “I think maybe a bit too much is being made out of that,” Luck said, “I think just go out, play football. Getting hit can be part of the position and part of it.”
