The best NFL gambling sites favor the Packers over the Bears when the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers play on Sunday in NFL action at Lambeau Field. Chicago is 1-0 after getting an opener win over the 49ers. As for the Packers, they lost by 16 points to the Vikings in their Week 1 game.

The Green Bay Packers (0-1 SU, 0-1 ATS) will try to shake off a pitiful performance in Week 1 when they host NFC North division rivals the Chicago Bears (1-0, 1-0) on Sunday Night Football. Green Bay has won the last six matchups overall and is 9-0 SU in its past nine as a favorite against Chicago, according to the best online sportsbooks.

After opening as 9.5-point favorites at the best gambling sites, Green Bay dropped to 8.5-point chalk after its awful performance in Week 1 versus Minnesota. The Packers were bet back up to -9.5 and are now double-digit favorites.

Betting Chicago Bears

If there’s a takeaway from Matt Eberflus’ first game as head coach, it is that the Bears should be a much more disciplined team this season. After they finished near the bottom of the league in turnover ratio last year, Chicago won the TO battle 2-1 in its Week 1 win over the 49ers.

They committed only three penalties. Even though they played such a clean game, the Bears did not score until halfway through the third quarter, when Justin Fields connected with Dante Pettis for a 51-yard touchdown pass on a broken play.

Fields only mustered 70 other passing yards. Chicago finished with just 15 first downs. However, it was a good first step for a Bears team that, per the best gambling sites, is 3-1 SU and ATS in their last four games including last season. Chicago needs all the self-confidence it can get heading into a prime-time game, where the Bears are 0-7 SU and 1-6 ATS in their last seven outings.
In order to pull the upset, Chicago needs to keep its turnovers at a minimum once again so as to not give Green Bay’s sputtering offense a short field to work with. The Bears can’t afford either to fall behind by several scores. It’s tough to imagine Fields and Chicago’s lethargic passing attack putting them back into the game.

Chicago got off to a slow start against the 49ers. They went into halftime with a 7-0 deficit. The Bears started to improve in the third quarter. They eventually pulled off the 19-10 win thanks to 12 points in the last quarter. Justin Fields threw just 17 passes. He completed eight for 121 yards, two TDs, and one pick. Khalil Herbert had 45 yards and a TD on nine carries. Dante Pettis led the receiving unit with a 51-yard touchdown catch.

Betting Green Bay Packers

The Packers offense couldn’t have been much worse in their season opener last week in Minnesota, right down from the first play. Rookie receiver Christian Watson botched what seemed like a sure touchdown pass on Green Bay’s first play from scrimmage.
That set the tone in a bad 23-7 loss. Green Bay’s shallowness at wide receiver was evident after the departure in the offseason of Davante Adams and Allen Lazard’s absence. Running back A.J. Dillon led the squad in both catches and receiving yards.

Receivers Romeo Doubs, Watson, Sammy Watkins, Juwann Winfree and Randall Cobb had a total of just 103 yards on 11 catches. Maybe playing on prime time on Sunday night will help wake up Rodgers and the Packers attack. Green Bay is 6-0 SU and ATS in their past six Sunday Night Football games. They went OVER the total in all of them.

Green Bay ran the ball pretty good in Week 1 against Minnesota. Aaron Jones and Dillon gained a total of 94 yards on 15 carries. As long as Green Bay doesn’t find itself down the hole early like last week, they should be able to remain on the ground game and keep up some drives.
The Packers opened up the season on the wrong foot against the Vikings. Green Bay was losing 17-0 by halftime and things didn’t improve from there. By game’s end the Packers left with a 23-7 loss to start out the season 0-1.

Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers NFL Pick

Green Bay is bound to look better in Week 2, but we think the line is ample enough for Chicago to cover.
