You know, everybody was talking about how remarkable it was that Wilson was able to come back from a fractured finger so quickly. But with last week’s performance, now there is speculation. Obviously, the Seahawks were not going to get where they wanted to go with Geno Smith. The only thing that keeps the 3-6 Seahawks in the playoff race is that there are three wild card teams in the NFC.

Wilson has always been a guy to take much of the burden into his own hands. And head coach Pete Carroll has been more than happy to let him do it. We should stress that Murray is going to play in the game if it all possible. His ability to run, especially on designed plays, might be compromised. But there is more to his game than that. On throws downfield that are at least 20 yards, Murray has completed 47.2%, which is phenomenal. DeAndre Hopkins will not play in this game, but there’s enough in the receiving corps to make an impact. Christian Kirk had seven receptions last week, but they were only for 58 yards. With Murray, that yards-per-catch average would increase. Zach Ertz, the tight end recently brought over from Philadelphia, is liable to get worked more and more into the offense.

It’s pretty simple here – so we like Murray on the basis of his passing ability, and we’ll go with Arizona if he plays. If it’s McCoy or Streveler, we want no part of that. And we elect to take a wait-and-see attitude with Wilson.
