NFL gambling sites favor the Kansas City Chiefs to bounce back from their first loss of the season as they visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This is a rematch from Super Bowl 55. The Bucs have gone 4-1 SU and 5-0 ATS in their past five as dogs. That includes a cover as home underdogs two years ago against KC.

Tampa Bay has been a home dog just two times in the Tom Brady era. That could be the case for the third time when this game gets underway on Sunday night. The best online sportsbooks opened KC as a 1.5-point fave. The Chiefs had been bet up to -2.5 as of this writing. There was also early action for the UNDER, which drove the total down to 45.

The Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers play on Sunday in NFL action at Raymond James Stadium. Kansas City is 2-1 so far this season. They are coming off a close upset to the Colts. Tampa Bay played the Packers last weekend and took their first loss of the season.

Betting Kansas City Chiefs

Errors on special teams cost the Chiefs a lot last weekend when they dropped their first game of the season even though they allowed just 259 total yards to Indianapolis. KC gave away the Colts’ first touchdown when they fumbled a punt deep in their own territory. They then committed a personal foul late in the fourth quarter which led to Indy’s game-winning drive. Patrick Mahomes was limited to 262 passing yards, one week after he had only 235 in a close win over the Chargers.

KC’s most glaring faux pas was the kicking game. Backup Matt Ammendola missed an XPA and a 34-yard field goal that would have put KC ahead by seven points halfway through the fourth. The Chiefs let Ammendola go on Monday, maybe a sign that injured starter Harrison Butker is close to coming back.

A couple of recent NFL gambling sites trends lend support to the theory of a strong bounce-back performance from KC this week. The Chiefs have won their past six games in prime time. They have gone 4-2 ATS in those outings, and they’re 7-1 ATS after a SU loss on the road.

KC’s defense has been excellent against the run this season. They shut down Jonathan Taylor last weekend and allow 86.7 rushing yards per game. If the Chiefs can get off to a big lead and make Brady beat them through the air, the Bucs might lack the receivers to do it.

Betting Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Their offense has issues scoring, the Buccaneers best bet for an upset might be pressuring Mahomes into making mistakes with the pass rush. The same as they did in the Super Bowl two years back. The Chiefs couldn’t stop Indy last Sunday when the game was being decided in the fourth quarter, which does not bode well heading into a clash with Brady. In three games with new head coach Todd Bowles, the Bucs are 3-0 to the UNDER with an average of just 26 points scored per game. Tampa Bay’s defense is as good as ever. They allow an average of just nine ppg, but Brady and the attack have not scored more than 20 points in a game yet.

They have produced just three TDs on the season. Injuries factor in Tampa Bay’s slow offensive start. The Bucs were sans top receivers Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Julio Jones in last Sunday’s 14-12 loss to Green Bay. Evans is expected to be back this week after a one-game suspension. Jones (knee) may also come back.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Tampa Bay Best Bet Pick

We’re going to take a chance on the Buccaneers. One could make a good case for either side, though. It should be a great game regardless. It will come down to which team can rebound from a bad loss better.

Tampa had an ghastly offensive showing in the Packers game. They posted just 34 rushing yards and a 2-of-11 rate on third-down attempts. The two lost fumbles weren’t any help, either. As for Kansas City, they beat out Indianapolis in most stats during their loss in the weekend. The Chiefs also had trouble at times with two TOs and a 3-of-10 run on third downs. We like both teams to get their stuff together and play better this time, so it should be a fun game to watch.
