UFC betting fans have plenty to look forward to this weekend as the Lyoto Machida era continues. All jokes aside, this weekend’s UFC Fight Night 125 makes for a perfect event to wager on, and Lyoto Machida just happens to be headlining in his home country. In reality, the best offshore sportsbook players are itching for UFC 221 to roll around, so we can figure out who will challenge current UFC Welterweight Champion Robert Whittaker for the strap. But in the meantime, top online sportsbook players can retain their attention by betting on this weekend’s event. Let’s mulch over some basic info for this weekend’s UFC Fight Night 125.

UFC Fight Night 125: Machida vs. Anders

  • Date: Saturday, February 3rd
  • Starting Times: Main Card: 10 pm ET – Prelims: 8 pm ET – Early Prelims: 7 pm ET
  • Venue: Arena Guilherme Paraense, Belem, Brazil
  • TV/Online Stream: Main Card: FS1 – Prelims: FS1 – Early Prelims: UFC Fight Pass

As aforementioned, Lyoto Machida will headline the night by taking on Eryk Anders in a middleweight bout. Machida is a former champion that is having a hard time living up to his glory while Eryk Anders is a young up-and-comer looking to prove his stake in the promotion by pulling one over a seasoned veteran.

Machida enters this bout flashing a 22-8 MMA record, desperately looking for a win. The reason being the three straight losses Machida has endured in his last couple of fights. Lyoto last stepped into the cage to face Derek Brunson, where he proceeded to get knocked out in under a round. Yoel Romero did the same, albeit in three, to Machida in the Brazilian’s previous fight. Likewise, Luke Rockhold submitted Machida back in April of 2015. So in the span of 2 years, Machida has lost three straight. It’s easy to understand why Machida is pegged as an underdog this weekend.

Some of the best offshore sportsbook players might not readily identify Eryk Anders. Anders has yet to hit his big break, and that’s despite bolstering an unblemished 10-0 professional MMA record. Anders is coming off a decision victory over Markus Perez this past December.

Another fight the best online sportsbook players are patiently awaiting is the Women’s Flyweight bout between Shevchenko and Priscila Cachoeira. Bullet is coming off a decision win at UFC 215 where she failed to win the belt from Amanda Nunes. Many fans felt Shevchenko won that fight and there’s no question Bullet will be coming for blood this weekend.
