The Arkansas Razorbacks visit the TCU Horned Frogs on Saturday in a game that can be seen on ESPN. Both teams won last week but neither team was very impressive as Arkansas beat Louisiana Tech while TCU defeated South Dakota State. The 15th-ranked Horned Frogs are listed as 7.5 point home favorites at sports betting online sites.
Week 2 College Football Odds
TCU Horned Frogs -7.5, total 58.5
High Scoring Game Expected
The Razorbacks were not that impressive last week on offense as they had just 297 yards but they should have a lot of success this week against a TCU defense that was awful last week against South Dakota State. The Horned Frogs allowed 41 points and 461 yards. Arkansas got two touchdowns from quarterback Austin Allen but Allen also threw two interceptions. “We found a way to win,” Hogs coach Bret Bielema said. “That builds a lot of confidence.” Wide receiver Keon Hatcher had six catches for 86 yards.
TCU had plenty of offense last week as Kenny Hill threw for 439 yards and two touchdowns to go along with three rushing scores. “I thought for a first ballgame, he managed it,” head coach Gary Patterson said. “We understand Arkansas is a lot more talented as a defense, a lot more athletic, a lot more physical one than the one we just played. We know we have to get a lot better at what we’re doing to be able to play like we need to.”
The problem for TCU was a defense that simply got gouged on a regular basis. Patterson said the team will get destroyed by Arkansas if they play as badly on defense as they did last week. “When you do that, you’re not going to give your kids a very good chance of being successful,” Patterson said. “Hopefully, we’ll do a lot better job as a coaching staff of getting them put in position against Arkansas. If not, they’ll have 1,000 yards and 1,000 points. We’ve got to do a lot better job this week.”
