The national anthem is always one of the most-anticipated non-game attractions of the Super Bowl. That’s partly due to the honor leading to great performances from high-level singers. Sunday, it’s country star Mickey Guyton and, as usual, there are all sorts of interesting and unique anthem-related prop bets.
Super Bowl LVI is no different, as BetUs has a ton of anthem props, and not just the ‘regulars’ such as over/under anthem length or what color Guyton will be wearing while she sings. Other props on the board are whether she’ll forget a word, as well as which players/coaches will be shown first while she sings. Of course, that’s all in addition to the readily-available regular game-based props.
Let’s go through some of the available anthem props, based on the current NFL betting odds and break down how you should wager on them.
Length of National Anthem: Over/Under 98½ Seconds
There has been a lot of movement for this prop, which initially opened up at 91½ seconds and, for the most part, has kept climbing up. While the under has actually hit for five of the last six anthem singers, the last nine anthem singers have gone well over the 98½-second mark, which might mean that this figure is a bit too low. It could also mean that Guyton tends to go quicker with her anthem renditions.
Either way, it’s tough to fully predict how a singer will approach the anthem for a Super Bowl, considering it’s the biggest event each year. Looking back at recent Super Bowl anthem history and factoring in the late movement, it’s the over that might be the play.

Color of Guyton’s Dress
There’s a ton of value on the board for this prop, and that makes sense considering how difficult a bet it is to predict. The favorites for which color Guyton will wear during the anthem are red (+375), white (+375), black (+450) and yellow (+450). From a value perspective, you can’t go wrong with any of those picks, perhaps even taking more than one to cover the board a bit.
It’s tough to use Guyton’s previous public outfits as a guide for what she’ll wear Sunday, but since Monday is Valentine’s Day, there’s some logic to red as a possible choice. Since that’s about as good a lead as we have, use red as your main pick if you’re making NFL predictions.

…And Will Guyton Forget Any Words?
There’s actually a prop for this. Most of the time, Super Bowl anthem singers provide essentially flawless renditions, which is why Guyton not making any mistakes is such an overwhelming board favorite. So, if you want to root for Guyton to miss a word, you’ll get good value, but that might just be throwing away money. Instead, put “no” in a parlay to add another sure-fire leg.

Who Will Be Shown First During The Anthem?
The board divided this bet into three pairings, with the wide receivers (the Bengals’ Ja’Marr Chase and the Rams’ Cooper Kupp), coaches (the Bengals’ Zac Taylor and the Rams’ Sean McVay), and quarterbacks (the Bengals’ Joe Burrow and the Rams’ Matthew Stafford) “opposing” one another. The question is simple: Which member of the pairing will be shown first on NBC during Guyton’s anthem rendition?
In all likelihood, NBC will show a “more prominent” person first, so this is a prop where taking the favorites is a smart play. While Chase is really talented and exciting, Kupp was the winner of the NFL’s receiving triple crown this season. McVay is already in his second Super Bowl as a coach, so he’s more of a household name than Taylor. Finally, Burrow has rocketed to nationwide superstardom with his playoff exploits, so he gets the nod over Stafford. The latter has been around for a long time and is well-liked, but isn’t nearly as flashy.
