Just like other early-season golf betting futures, No. 1 in the world Jon Rahm sits atop the best offshore gambling sites at +1,100 to win the British Open. The usual suspects follow suit, including last year’s winner, Collin Morikawa.

The 2022 Open Championship, officially dubbed the 150th Open Championship, is a golf tournament that will be played 14–17 July on the Old Course at St Andrews, Scotland. The 2022 event will be the 30th Open Championship to be played at the Old Course at St Andrews. The most recent took place in 2015. That was when Zach Johnson won the four-hole playoff for his second major title. Quite an occasion indeed.

Jon Rahm (+900)

The best online sportsbooks favor Jon Rahm in every competition almost by default. He leads this year’s Open Championship odds boards at +1,100. He finished tied for third at Royal St. George’s in last year’s Open behind the aforementioned Collin Morikawa and Jordan Spieth. He finished no worse than T8 in 2021’s four major tournaments. One can expect Rahm to be a contender again in St. Andrews.

Rory McIlroy (+1,400)

Second on the best gambling sites at +1,400 is quadruple major winner, Rory McIlroy. Rory won the 2014 Open Championship at Royal Liverpool. However, has been in the middle of a nearly eight-year major championship dry spell.

Jordan Spieth (+1,400)

There are three others running together with Rory at +1,400. They include the 2017 Open Champion and last year’s runner-up, Jordan Spieth. Spieth devoted 2021 to turn his game around. He snapped a losing streak with a win at the Valero Texas Open.

His runner-up finish at Royal St. George’s was his best major finish in 2021. Being consistently a contender and perhaps even winning is next on the list for Spieth.

Scottie Scheffler (+2200)

Scheffler dominated the 2022 Masters. He won his first Major on the biggest stage of them all. Scheffler went into the Masters as the top-ranked golfer in the world and certainly played the part. Pressure isn’t a problem for the 25-year-old from Jersey. Now even more attention will be directed at him after he successfully donned the green jacket.

Justin Thomas (+1600)

Thomas hasn’t been at his best in Scotland, but the 28-year-old has snuck up in the best gambling sites over the last two months. He remains a force to be reckoned with. Thomas’s last and only Major win came in 2017 when he won the PGA Championship.

Longshots

Tiger Woods (+5000)

We can not talk about Tiger Woods. He is on the board at +4,000. Woods came back to the course at The Masters following his serious car accident. He came up short, but playing in a major was a moral victory.

The Open Championship is the furthest away of the major tournaments on the 2022 schedule. It takes place on the friendlier side of major championship walks. It’s a competition he has won already won two times at this course. A lot going on for Tiger here.

Robert MacIntyre (+4200)

This is a name you might not have heard a lot but that you might start hearing about more often. The 25-year-old Scot is as good on the greens as the next golfer. MacIntyre has played remarkably at the Open Championship in recent years.

He finished T6 and T8 in two of his last three Open Championship outings. He spends much of his season on the DP World Tour but he has turned into a much more consistent player with each week that goes by. Don’t be surprised if he lingers near the top of the leaderboard during the weekend.
