2022 NFL Draft No. 1 Overall Prospects and Top Favorites

2022 NFL Draft No. 1 Overall Prospects and Top Favorites

Aidan Hutchinson will finish the pre-draft process as the No. 1 overall prospects, as well as one of the top favorites at the best NFL gambling sites. Four offensive linemen finished in the top 10 including Evan Neal, Ikem Ekwonu, Charles Cross and Tyler Linderbaum. Three defensive backs also made the list. Kayvon Thibodeaux and Garrett Wilson are the other two top-10 representatives.

The two positions most common in the top 25 are cornerbacks and edge rushers. Malik Willis was the only QB included in the top grouping. It is hard to project how many and which QBs are going to get the nod on Thursday night. Nine SEC prospects were in the top 25. That makes them the best-represented conference. Jordan Davis is the only interior defender in the top 25.

Three QBs (Kenny Pickett, Matt Corral and Sam Howell) were in the second tier. David Ojabo dropped to No. 44 overall after he suffered a torn Achilles. Kenneth Walker III is the first running back to make an appearance at No. 49 overall.

Three Penn State players (Ebiketie, Brisker and Dotson) followed one another from Nos. 41-43. Through the top 50, wide receivers are the best represented (9). They are followed by edge rushers (8). Six Georgia players are ranked in the top 32.

The first tight end on the list is Colorado State’s McBride at No. 51 overall. Three further running backs (Iowa State’s Hall, Texas A&M’s Spiller and Florida’s Pierce) complete the top 100. Ridder was the only other QB to fall into this range. The depth at edge rusher keeps going well into Day 3 with seven further prospects.
