The Hilltoppers are the underdogs as established by the best online sportsbooks. Western Kentucky University’s football team will appear in its seventh bowl game in the last nine seasons. The Hilltoppers (5-6) are set to play Georgia State (5-4) in the 22nd yearly LendingTree Bowl on Saturday, December 26 in Mobile, Ala.

The bowl game at Ladd-Peebles Stadium is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on ESPN. The game will mark WKU’s 30th postseason game in school history. The Panthers accepted the offer to meet Western Kentucky in the LendingTree Bowl at 3:30 p.m. on December 26 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala. The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.

The game is a rematch of the 2017 Cure Bowl. On that occasion, Georgia State won 27-17 for the first bowl win in program history. Georgia State has a 1-2 record in bowl games. Last season, the Panthers lost to Wyoming 38-17 in the Arizona Bowl. Western Kentucky has a 5-2 all-time record in bowl games.
