Betting sites for NFL favor the home team by four points when the Los Angeles Rams and the Seattle Seahawks play on Saturday in the NFL NFC Wild Card Playoffs at Lumen Field. Seattle (12-4 SU, 8-8 ATS) and Los Angeles (10-6, 9-7) starred in two low-scoring games during the regular season. It’s tough to picture to a different outcome when the NFC West rivals clash again in the wild-card round. The best online sportsbooks opened the total at below 43.

Betting LA Rams

The Horned Ones are the road dogs at betting sites for NFL. Two years after an explosive offense led them to a Super Bowl betting appearance, the Rams expect their defense to do the same. LA led the NFL in total defense and scoring defense this season.

They went under the total in 12 of their 16 games. In the Rams’ 18-7 win over the Cardinals on Sunday, the defense allowed just 214 total yards. They recorded four sacks. Returned an interception 84 yards for a TD. And scored a safety.

On offense, things aren’t looking as good for the Rams. They may be without quarterback Jared Goff for the second consecutive game with a thumb injury. John Wolford threw a pick on his first career pass on Sunday. This set up the Cardinals’ single touchdown.
Wolford settled down after that.

He finished the game with 231 passing yards. Wolford added 56 yards rushing as well. This provided LA with the quarterback mobility it lacked with Goff under center.

The rest of the Rams’ usually dependable ground attack struggled on Sunday. Cam Akers and Malcolm Brown had a total of just 54 yards on 24 carries.

LA will likely miss leading runner Darrell Henderson for a few more weeks. He is nursing a high ankle sprain. The Rams hope that receiver Cooper Kupp returns from the reserve/COVID-19 list this week.

Betting Seattle Seahawks

The Hawks are the home faves according to betting sites for NFL. Similar to the Rams, Seattle’s strong suit entering the playoffs lies on the defensive side of the ball. Not many would have expected that halfway through the season. Especially when the Seahawks offense led the league with 34 points per game. And the defense was all but nominal.

But after a 44-36 loss at Buffalo in early November, Seattle has not surrendered more than 23 points in eight consecutive games. They went 7-1 to the under in that period. Seattle would have gone under in eight in a row if not for the Seahawks and 49ers combining for 21 points in the last 2:20 of Seattle’s 26-23 win last week.

The Seahawks were behind 9-6 heading into the fourth quarter. But they came alive with three TDs. One of them was set up by a strip-sack deep in San Fran territory. Seattle has scored over 28 points only once in the past eight games.

That was a 40-3 blowout of the Jets. Starting QB Russell Wilson is averaging fewer than 185 passing yards per game in his last four. The Seahawks’ top injury concern this week is safety Jamal Adams.

He left the San Francisco game halfway through the fourth quarter with an injured left shoulder. Adams led the team this season with 9.5 sacks. That is the most by a defensive back since the league started keeping records of sacks as an official stat about 40 years ago.

Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks NFL Pick

The Seattle Seahawks are without a doubt the more reliable team here. The home trends for this NFC West matchup are hard to overlook. Take the Seahawks by a touchdown.
