Betting Clemson Tigers

The Tigers continued on their path of destruction with a 52-3 beatdown on Wake Forest Saturday before last. Clem entered as 34.5-point home faves and comfortably covered the spread set by the best online sportsbooks. The Tigers have outscored opponents 225 to 34 in the last four games. Clemson has the second-best scoring defense (10.7 ppg) and the fourth-best scoring offense (45.9 ppg). Starting QB Trevor Lawrence went 21 of 27 for 272 yards with four TDs. Running back Travis Etienne had 121 yards and one TD on 16 carries.

The Tigers rank 8th in rushing offense with 260.5 yards per game. Clem’s third-ranking total offense (543.1 ypg) outgained Wake Forest by 411 yards. Clemson’s total defense, which ranks 2nd in the country (238.2 ypg), held the Deacons to a humbling 105 yards. The Tigers’ pass defense, also ranking 2nd (128.5 ypg), surrendered just 41 yards.
According to sportsbooks sites, the Tigers are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games on the road. And 4-1 ATS when playing a team with a losing record.

The under is 5-2 in the Tigers’ last 7 road games.
“For us, it’s about finishing strong and playing our best four quarters of the week,” head coach Dabo Swinney said. “I don’t think they (the Tiger players) want to lose at all. It’s not just not wanting to lose to South Carolina. The guys who sit up here in these front rows (during team meetings) want to keep winning.

How many teams have been 30-0? But here we are trying to get to that. It’s not out of the question for us. You can’t win 30 until you win 27. You can’t win 13 until you win 12. We just want to be great right in this moment. That’s why this team has been so consistent. The hardest thing to do in sports is to win consistently, to be great over and over and over again.”

Betting South Carolina Gamecocks

The Cocks have dropped four of their last five SU- and ATS-wise. In their latest outing South Carolina was an 11-point road dog versus TAMU, per sportsbook sites. The Cocks lost 6-30. It’s the first time this season SC’s 100th-ranked scoring offense (24.2 ppg) has been held to single digits. Starting QB Ryan Hilinski went 16 of 41 for 175 yards. The Cocks’ rushing offense is by no means great (73rd with 157.0 yards per game). But it looked awful against TAMU, gaining a pitiful 45 yards on the ground. Conversely, SC’s 64th-ranking run defense (153.2 ypg) allowed the Aggies a shameful 319 yards.

The Gamecocks are 1-4 ATS in their last five non-conference games. And 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. The under is 6-2 in the Gamecocks’ last eight games overall.
“South Carolina football will go with an all-black look Saturday against Clemson. USC unveiled the look with a fire-filled hype video, with some poetic narration courtesy of “The Tyger,” by William Blake. The black jerseys will be the 1984-style throwbacks the Gamecocks have sported all season long,” reports The State.com. Yep. There’s so little to say about the Cocks, we’re talking about their uniforms.

Clemson Tigers vs. South Carolina Gamecocks NCAAF Pick

Clemson is on a 50+-point-scoring four-game streak. The Tigers almost reached 60 in two of those games. It’s Clem all the way.
