Gonzaga, Arizona, Kansas, and Baylor are the four No. 1 seeds, as well as the favorites at the best March Madness betting sites. Will the top-seeded four make it all the way to the Final Four? Let us take a closer look, shall we?

East Region

This is the only region where choosing the No. 1 seed to reach the Final Four is not picking the favorite at the best online sportsbooks. Baylor is +250 compared to +150 for Kentucky to reach the national semifinal.

The Purdue offense has taken their collective foot off the proverbial gas pedal, but if it gets going once again, the Boilermakers could offer good value at +300. The Hokies are heading into the tournament on a roll after they won the ACC Tournament. They could be in a solid position to keep the momentum going forward.

At +1599 odds, Virginia Tech feels like one of the top sleepers in the region. And if any school in the tournament can emulate what UCLA did last year and go from the First Four to the Final Four, that school is Indiana (+3399).

Final 4 Expert Pick: Purdue. The Boilers were upset by North Texas last year. They’re not any better now, but the field isn’t either.

Midwest Region

Kansas is the favorite to win the region at the best betting sites. The rest of the seeding feels out of whack. Iowa is seeded No. 5 with the third-best odds to win the region. No. 8 seed San Diego State is tied with fourth-seeded Providence at +1396.

The Aztecs have one of the top defenses in the country. They could upset the Jayhawks in the second round. South Dakota State scored more points than any other team in the nation in the 2021-22 season. At +6480, the Jackrabbits could be this year’s Cinderella story. +224 isn’t great value at the best betting sites, but Auburn has shown when they’re good, they’re among the best teams in the country.

Final 4 Expert Pick: Auburn is faltering. Wisconsin is a one-star team. And Providence is a no-star team. So, Kansas it is.

South Region

Only Gonzaga has better odds to reach the semifinal than Arizona. At +140 Arizona is an OK bet, but there are better values to be found further down. No. 11 Michigan’s head coach Juwan Howard will be back at the helm following a suspension.

The team’s experience and scoring prowess make it a good pick at +1603. Illinois’ standout campaign
ended with a whimper instead of a bang, but with star Kofi ‘Kingston’ Cockburn, the Fighting Illini could
provide great value on a +801 futures wager.

Final 4 Expert Pick: Arizona stands as the team to beat. They guard the rim. They run offense. The shoot with sufficient accuracy. They only lack depth.

West Region

Gonzaga (-200) is such heavy chalk to make it to the Final Four that it is hard to see them as good value for bettors hoping to place some futures down. Duke has the star power and the head coach to provide good value at +377.

UConn (+1608) has cemented itself as a team that can go toe to toe with the stiffest competition after getting regular-season wins over Auburn, Villanova, and Marquette. If Memphis can make it to the Round of 32 and pull off the upset against Gonzaga, the Tigers (+2412) could be a team to keep an eye on with an emerging star like Jalen Duren.

Final 4 Expert Pick: Gonzaga. This would be the third Final Four in the last five tournaments for the Zags – if they can pull it off.
