2021 Final Four Betting Analysis, Latest Odds, Predictions and Picks

2021 Final Four Betting Analysis, Odds and Picks

The days of the week the games were played were altered. The entire tournament was in Indiana. We had a forfeit because of COVID-19.

But with only three College Basketball betting games left to play, this year’s NCAA Tournament return has to be considered a great success.

We have a Cinderella still dancing, a juggernaut chasing down history, and 120 minutes of the best basketball of the season still to come.

West Region Champion – Gonzaga

Not since 1992 have we had a wire-to-wire consensus on the No. 1 team in the country. In search of its first-ever national championship, Gonzaga is two wins away from equaling that feat of Duke, matching the other six wire-to-wire champs in March Madness betting history, and becoming the first undefeated champion since the 1975-76 Indiana Hoosiers.

Gonzaga doesn’t just roll into its second-ever trip Final Four trip without any losses. It doesn’t have any close wins either.

The Bulldogs are currently on a 27-game streak of winning each game by double-digits, an NCAA Division I record. The online sports betting favorite carries short -190 odds of winning the whole thing.

East Region Champion – UCLA

Facing off against Gonzaga on Saturday is the only Cinderella to make it to the Final Four, No. 11 seed UCLA. Although rarely is a Cinderella tournament team making its 19th trip to the Final Four in search of its 12th national championship.

UCLA hasn’t been this far since 2008, and it wasn’t supposed to be here this year. The Bruins were stuck in the First Four, having to play their way into the Field of 64.

But make no mistake, with wins over both No. 2 seed Alabama and No. 1 seed Michigan, the Bruins have earned their place in Indianapolis.

South Region Champion – Baylor

The last time Baylor made the Final Four was 1950. The NCAA Tournament was only eight teams, and the winner of the NCAA title that year, City College of New York, also won the NIT. Imagine that as a double victory today.

Fourteen U.S. Presidents and 71 years later, and Baylor is back. The Bears are the best three-point shooting team in the country and look like the top seed they were given, and the overall number two team in the country.

For the first time in its history, the Baylor men’s team rivals the Lady Bears, who have won three national championships.

Midwest Region Champion – Houston

Houston is making its sixth Final Four appearance, but with zero championships to show for it. Before the Cougars can finally cut down the nets as the best team in the country, they must first beat Baylor to win the Texas state title.

It has been a rocky road for Houston head coach Kelvin Sampson. He was a Final Four coach with Oklahoma in 2002 but left there because of recruiting violations.

Then he left Indiana after more violations resulted in three years of probation. And after a six-year exile in the NBA, he quietly became the coach of the struggling Cougars.

It’s not so quiet today, with Cougars two wins away from a championship.
