Betting websites favour Rory McIlroy to win the 2017 Arnold Palmer Invitational at the Bay Hill Club and Lodge.

Rory McIlroy +705

The Northern Irish golfer led the WGC Mexico Championship after 36 holes and finished tied for seventh in what could be considered a warm-up following two months on the shelf with a rib injury. A win at API could provide Wee-Mac with some serious momentum heading into U.S. Masters Tournament.

Jason Day +1415

The Australian will enter the the Bay Hill Club and Lodge as the reigning and defending Arnold Palmer Invitational champion. However, the good ol’ Day of 2016 has been conspicuous by his absence so far this year. Will the AIP be the dawning of a new Day, or will he have to send out a MayDay?

Hideki Matsuyama +1415

The Nippon is fresh off a second straight win at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, where he defended this title against Webb Simpson. Oh what a Webb we weave. Matsuyama made a birdie to win the tournament and reached a career-best World No. 4 ranking.

Rickie Fowler +1650

The California native returned to the World Ranking top 10 with a win – his fourth in the PGA Tour – at The Honda Classic. Fowler preserved a 54-hole lead for the first time in his career to win. According to Hall of Famer Johnny Miller, though, Fowler “hasn’t learned how to finish out Sundays like a true champion.”

Henrik Stenson +905

The Swede is the second favourite to win Arnold Palmer Invitational at most betting websites. Stenson has four top-eight finishes at the AIP since 2013, and had a top 10 finish last week at the Valspar Championship.

Justin Rose +1850

Like Stetson, Rose is going to skip the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play which will be held in March 22-26 if favour of the Shell Houston Open. “I had to look at what I felt was maybe the best preparation for me to do well at Augusta (site of the Masters), and that was 72-hole stroke play,” Rose said. Rose will join his Ryder Cup partner Stenson at Bay Hill.

Brandt Snedeker +3050

Snedeker finished tied for 7th in the WGC Mexico Championship and currently ranks 24th in the world.

Paul Casey +3050

The Englishman finished tied for 16th in Mexico and is currently the World No. 15.

Thomas Pieters +3050

The Belgian has been determined to burn the candle at both ends in the European and PGA Tours, but he may be spreading himself too thin.

Tyrrell Hatton +3050

Hatton had a top 10 finish in the WGC Mexico Championship and ranks 16th in the golf world rankings.

Charl Schwartzel +4050

The South African enter Valspar as the defending champion but had to pull out after one of his amateur partner’s ball hit him. No, not like that. His partner’s golf ball ricocheted off a tree and hit him Schwartzel in the wrist. He may not be a favourite to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational at betting websites, but at least he’ll be able to play at Bay Hill.
